This number just called me at a place where im not even listed as living.... so im not sure how they got this number. call was answered by someone else, and they apparently asked for me..... i got on the phone, and no one was there so i hung up... called the number back and was greeted with an automated message with no identifying info on who they were.... and it placed me on hold to ''wait for the next available representative'' needless to say i hung up.

This is a collections company that ATT uses.  I switched cell companies and - i guess - never paid my final bill.  They keep calling asking for the owner of the account by name.  Call back (I never talk to people about $ when they call me) and they'll be able to answer all of your questions.  VERY SKEPTICAL at first but seems legit.

this number 1-800-507-7976 calls several times a day asking for Shelia.  This is a place of business, a construction company.  Shelia was never employed here and this is not a good number for Shelia.  These continuious calls are very disrupting to employees.  As business manager i have asked severl time to be removed from the calling list and the calls just seem to increase.

I think it is the same one's who have been calling me.  They say they are Microsoft Techs calling about my computer.  I have told them many, many times not to call me,  as I am on the 'do not call list'.  Do not let them have remote access to your computer, it's a scam.  Microsoft does not 'cold call' anyone.  I am contacting our State's Attorney General's office tomorrow to see what they can do about these annoying calls.  Most of the time the name and number show up unknown or all 'zero's'.

Debt Collector
I received a call from this number stating that "Anthony" with EOS was calling.  He wanted to verify the social security number for the party he was calling.  Without having verified the customers identity he told me what the last four digits were., he wanted to verify the customer's address address - and he gave out the customer's address without verifying my identity. He said specifically that his information was that it belonged to _________  _______ (filled in name).  He also specifically stated the phone number he was calling.  He had given out, to an unverified party, name, address, phone number and the last four digits of a social security number.  I told him not to call this number again.

I was pissed that someone would give out enough personal information that anyone could hack personal accounts, or online accounts, without verifying the identity of the person to whom he was speaking,

He refused to tell me what EOS stood for because it would violate the customer's privacy because it would reveal the reason he was calling and he refused to give me an explanation of what the company did or what EOS,  He did mumble that it was a National Accounts Receivable Company. This is specifically a violation of the Fair Collection Act, you can not tell anyone except the customer that the purpose of your call is to collect a debt. An accounts receivable company is a debt collector.

I told him again to not call this number again (and he began to argue that if he didn't know who he was speaking to I couldn't tell him that).  Refusal to identify yourself fully and refusal to identify the purpose of a call is harassment.  If the party is instructed to DO NOT CALL, they may no longer contact them by phone.

I called the phone number back to get more information and it said that the company was EOS CCA.  I looked it up on the Internet and here is what I discovered.  EOS CCA is a worldwide debt collection, marketing, risk management and accounts receivable company.  Information is shared between the four corporate subentities.

Here is their "Hot Line" Address

EOS CCA
700 Longwater Drive
Norwell, MA 02061

I have no bad debt, I have one account that I disputed in writing with proof that the debt was not owed and the company did not respond within the time frame required by the Fair Credit Collection Act.  I am about fed up.  Next step is to file a complaint under the Fair Collection Act

Shorty after I hung up without connecting to a customer specialist.  I received a call from Anthony from phone number 877-869-5598.  He asked for the customer by name and again I told him DO NOT CALL, TAKE THIS NUMBER OFF YOUR LIST

This thread at this website documents that this company routinely discloses 3rd party information in violation of the Fair Credit Collection Act.  There are 10 similar threads here;

Stop EOS CCA Harassment

If you?ve been receiving calls from EOS CCA, you may not know what to do or where to turn. If that?s the case, you?re not alone. Here are three tips to help you survive the experience.

Answer the phone. When EOS CCA debt collection company calls, you should answer the phone. If you don?t, you won?t know if EOS CCA collection agents cross the line and violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Document everything. Every time you receive a call or written communication from EOS debt collection agency, write down the date, time, and what was said. Keep anything you receive in the mail, and note the date you received each item.
Don?t make hasty promises. While it?s tempting to tell a debt collector whatever they want to hear so that they?ll stop calling you, it?s important to first take a deep breath. Ask them to validate the debt so that you know that it?s yours to pay, and that it isn?t past the statute of limitations.

I received a call from this # and the lady said can I talk to Alissia. I advised she had the wrong # but my daughter's name was Alicia. I asked what is this in reference to and she said she could not tell me. I said okay and hung up. I called the # back immediately and I got a man this time. He said his name was Marcus and he needed to talk to Alicia. I asked him what is the name of his company he said EOSCCA. I have never heard of this company.

I've missed a few calls from this number, they don't leave a message. I finally answered and its someone from India. I tried to find out what they wanted before I told them my name, but they were not forthcoming as I advised that since they are calling a cell phone at 8pm, it can't be that important. They hung up.
