I received the following text message today: "Having a hard time paying your Mortgage,Need Help lowering your Mortgage payment?Get an Interest Rate as low as 2% Fixed.If so reply HELP.To cancel reply STOP"

Folks, when you get these types of unsolicited messages, whether by text or voice, do not respond.  If you were to text back STOP, you will be placed on a "sucker list".  Replying means you considered it to be a real company (though not necessarily a good one), and efforts could be stepped up to trick you somehow.  Same thing with voice messages that ask you to press a number to be taken off their list.  Remember, whatever the premise behind the call, the goal is to steal from you.

Being on the Do Not Call Registry can't help with calls from pirated cell phone numbers.  It would be like putting a sign in your front yard that you are on the "Do Not Rob" list, so no one can break into your home.  

Simply ignore the calls.

ok so I pressed one, and a male came over the phone and first asked if I only was a  diabetic and I said yes, he then asked some very serious red flag questions, he wanted my full name address phone number where i could be reached, if I had medical insurance yes no question, then who it was with and the full Policy number with there full address and then wanted my SSN# and Date Of Birth and wanted to know how many people were living in my house hold related to me or now and wanted all there information with SSN#  and DOB (for verification purposes only). yeah dont worry did not give em any real info, but DUH IT IS A SCAM oh yeah and the number they give you at the beginning of the call if the call is disconnected is the same one that goes to the full inbox yall are talking about

I missed this number and when trying to call it back it said "the inbox is full please try back later" no name no business nothing just full...

same here!!! the mailbox is full and they just sit there and breathe.

Ya, I got this call as well.  It is in regards to diabetes and insurance assistance.  scam.

got a call from this number and they only let it ring twice and hang up. i called the # back and it says mailbox is full.

The usual semi-scam marketing call.  Anything to get by the person who answers the phone.  Added to my smartphone's block list.  Computers against computers...  mine always wins....  lol...  if the telco companies didn't make so much off these punks, they'd have been banned long ago, or just move their operations overseas and use internet gateways to access the US network.  Follow the money.....

I let the call go to the answering machine. It was come automated call; Telling me to press either 1 or 2. After a 2 seconds or so, it started ringing then it hanged up.

10:15am 26 May 2010, message left on my voicemail. Recording says "...Need this information to determine what they will cover. Diabetic Experts has created a short voluntary survey to gather this needed information. So if you're diabetic, and want to make sure your coverage doesn't change, please press 1 now to take part. Even if you know someone who is diabetic, and want them counted, please press 1. Or press 2 to decline." End of message on my voicemail. Have received this message several times over the past three weeks or so. I assume they're working with a "predictive dialer," dialing random phone numbers, trying to market something to diabetics whenever they find diabetics at these random phone numbers.

The Census Bureau is for data collection only.  If they are claiming to help with costs on anything it is a scam for sure.

It says it is the census buerau.  They said they wanted to know if you are a diabetic or have a friend or family member who is.  I pressed 2 to hopefully be removed from their calling list.  So aggravating.  I have an unlisted number and still get calls.

They just called my house phone and I was on the other line so I didn't answer, but they left no message. Just got on here to find out who this was. We just got this phone number 2 wks ago and keep getting collection calls for the people that had it before us. Sooooo frustrating! I can only imagine it's probably another collector.

The number does come up on my caller ID as a cell phone in South Carolina though. Weird.

it is a computer type call.  It says it is the census buerau and they want to know if you are a diabetic or have a friend who is and this could help with your insurance.  You should press 1 or 2.  I called the census buerau and they know nothing of this.  So it must be another scam.

ha...just got a call from this number too. I called it back and it says. voicemsg is full and can't leave a msg. It seems as if it's a cell. I am in California. Don't know anyone in South Carolina.

Got a missed call on my phone from this number also..... called it back and says mailbox is full. I live in South Carolina, but just got this phone number...  The number is based out of Columbia SC

SOMEONE CALLED ME FROM THIS NUM ON MY PHONE I DID NOT ANSWER IT..SO I CLLED IT BK AND SD MAILBOX IS FULL..IT IS PROBALY THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN CALLING ME..WHICH ARE SCAMMERS..IF IT'S A BUSINESS, HOW IS THE MAILBOX FULL? I PUT IT ON THE REJECT LIST!

got a call on my cell phone which not many people have my cell number...they didnt leave a message..called several times now from this number but never leave a message as to who or why they are calling ...do not want them calling my cell anymore...

If you call back, you are sent directly to voicemail, which states that it is a cell phone, and that the voicemail box is full.

Having worked survey and telemarketting jobs, you don't get to call people from your own phones - at all. Ever.

DO NOT BE STUPID - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION. And if you do speak to them, tell them to quit calling my house.

I pressed 1 to find out who this was so as to file a complaint with the Indiana Atty. General.  When I asked where they were, a woman replied with a question about diabetes.  When I repeated my request, I stated I was tracing the call and she hung up.

I will file a complaint for this as a call from an unsolicited telemarketer.  Indiana is rather tough on this kind of unwelcome behavior with fines as much as $100,000 per incident.

I recieved a call from this number also this morning around 10 am. My first thought was that it was my husband who is at FT. Jackson SC for Army Boot camp
