Did you ever try looking up that address?  A few quick internet searches reveals that 8464 Lakeshore Rd, Angola, NY is a vacant piece of land.  Directly across from it at 8461 Lakeshore Rd is a US Post Office.  Coincidence?

Seems like the employees from the scamming organizations love to try to legitimize what they are doing.

I would love to help in any way I can.  I am a school psychologist.  I work hard.  Have I had bad credit?  sure.  Have I had unpaid bills? sure.  But just because those things have happened to me, shouldn't mean that I am the target of a scam.  It is so upsetting and embarrassing.  I would love to help expose these people.

I have received a phone call from this number.  They did not say the name of the company

GOT A MESSAGE FROM THIS LARRY GUY TYRING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH MY MOM FOR SOME FRAUD INVESTIGATION AND HE EVEN HAS "CASE #" THAT ENDS IN THE LAST 4 OF HER SSN. I SEARCHED THE # AND CAME ACROSS THIS. I HAVE LET MY MOM KNOW THAT SOMEONE HAS HER INFO AND INFORMED HER OF THE INFORMATION IN PREVIOUS POST.

Got same call with same answer.  He did call my work and I advised him never to call again that this was illegal.  If he calls your work again this is what should be told to him.  He had nerve enough to call my phone back and said good luck.  SCAM SCAM SCAM

Since your only contact methods were by voice call and email, you were not in fact "provided everything needed to validate". True debt validation is issued with ink and paper and takes more time and effort than five minutes on the phone accomplishes. The FTC underlined this point in its famous staff opinion letter to debt collector Jeffrey Wollman in 1993.

I'm glad you looked up this number on here & posted. As I'm sure you've noticed, we can be a vicious bunch here. But our goal is to help. We despise fraudulent & bogus debt collectors. None of us carry any delinquent debt, but we have a hatred of the scum out there that prey on people to line their pockets.

I just received a message from a second cousin that received a call from this number regarding me.  They had a case number and everything.  I am beyond upset and slightly embarrassed.  Ridiculous.  These people need to be have their cell numbers and home numbers posted so we can bombard them with scary phone calls.  Call their mothers and fathers, cousins, step half uncles or third cousins twice removed or first cousins which could also be their spouses.

This address panned out to a empty tree filled lot. Nice! <note the dead pan look>

"Stephen" IS a "Sewage Plant" Badge. He's a peculiar type of fauna that is fed by effluent. He's just one of many similar types of vegetation that are common to WNY. They feed off of detritus. They breed with whatever floats downstream. Their offspring rarely fail to carry on their family traditions. They're never able to flower, but they throw off a lot of "fruits". They come in bright colors...in the beginning. They fade quickly in to washed out shades of institutional pastels. Sometimes in a striped pattern.
Their bouquet always gives them away. It never matters what stage of maturity they're at, they always smell of what they're made of. Excrement.

Yes, consumers do have LEGAL rights when it comes to debt collection -----Why would you give the address of a forest??  Why would mail from a nearby address be returned??   Just wondering.  As for time on our hands ---at least we try to help perple, not scam them.  Education --the scammer's  worst enemy.

E-mail  "arrangement" letters when it comes to debt scammers are worthless.  

Something in your story doesn't sound right.    What do you mean "outstanding check" that you had forgotten about?  Do you mean to say wrote a bad check-- an NSF check?  

If so, the bank would have notified you; not some scamming debt collector.  Believe me the bank wouldn't let you forget something like a bad check.  And it's unlikely they would turn it over to a collection agency.

I don't need a wall of text for me to know my rights as a consumer. Appreciated though. Furthermore I was just describing my experience with them. They provided everything I needed to validate what was outstanding and I obviously received something prior to paying everything with them. Also, I verified with the initial creditor that the account had been placed with their office. I'm not gonna continue to waste my time arguing with you guys, I just wanted to describe what transpired when actually calling them. It appears the majority of people here have far too much time on their hands. Best wishes.

Appears to be Shadow Creek Capitol from previous threads on this company.  No one comes looking for a company to post "Happy Camper" reviews which BTW are also illegal.   Obvious shillary is obvious.
