Unfortunately..I failed for it..I received a phone call yesterday while at work..saying I owed a debt that would have to b immediately paid.Or I would be arrested.I sent them my last300.00 yesterday.if anyone knows anything that I can do to find and prosecute them..and get my money back ..please respond and help me!!thank you!

Annoying, has called me several times looking for my sister. Says she is facing "serious charges in Texas." She is no angel, but shes not a criminal either. Just dont answer their calls.

Called my wife said I have until 5:00 pm to contact back so I did. Elizabeth stated I have a warrant for arrest signed by state CA Jerry Brown but my file is sealed so a warrant officer must break CA state seal and explain. Warrant officer gets on phone and says I'm going to jail while laughing, talking rude. Says because of default loan on check In go company. Called me a thief who will be in jail by tomorrow. All because I defaulted on a loan I was paying on 5 months. He then demanded 869.00 today. I them told him I would talk with my  lawyer and call now recorded he hung up. 844-298-8833

My son in Corpus Christi Texas received a call 4/22/2014 from this number stating he was Randy Williams investigator for Texas financial crimes unit and said I was a victim of identity theft and wanted my address and phone number to call me. This is obviously a bogus call and bogus person  , I wanted to alert you to this scam and found after checking into this on line was a big problem all over. What can be done about this?

they call and state that they have a warrant for your arrest  phone # 1-844-298-8833 ex309, this is funny to me I am a officer and I work in the warrant section for the state of Maryland. so this number will be reported do not call them back call the police and let them know someone is trying to steal your personal information.

These scam artists repeatedly called my fiance, mother and myself until I told the jerk that goes by Bill Williams that I turned his number and his name into my local P.D and  the local court system and the P.D will have their detectives investigate; they will be prosecuted. AND NO THEY ARE NOT GETTING IN MY POCKETS. Beware that these people are idiots just trying to scare you, which don't work on me! LMAO

Scam reported to attorney general and suing them. Was told by attorney general that a class action lawsuit is in works against NCO

False claims of debt and of criminal uttering.  Attempt is primarily at older persons and should be ignored.  Do not discuss or attempt to gain more information.  Number is spoofed and effectively cannot be located by an individual person.  There are several reports on various web sites indicating calls similar to yours with threats of arrest and jail.  None of these are real either.  This is a criminal enterprise do not treat them courteously, just hang up.

I keep receiving calls from 844-298-8833 ext 315(Amanda Rogers). They say they are from the Financial Crimes Unit. They call me at work and threaten to have me arrested if I don't pay them. When I ask for further information they won't give any. They say I wrote a bad check through Bank of America and used it to get a payday loan which I did not pay. They had my name, DOB, and SS#. They were very rude and threatened me regularly with multiple felony warrants if I did not pay. These people even threatened my co-workers who answered the phone with charges of aiding and abetting. This is not the first time I have received phone calls from people like these. I called all local government entities and asked for the lieutenant this company specifically named. I was told by every office I called that I did not show up in their files at all and that they do not have a lieutenant by that name. All local authorities I called were very helpful and assured me that it was a scam. If they police are going to arrest you, they aren't going to call and tell you about it first.

they are a scam.  i had them investigated thru bbb and an attorney,  if you pay them, it will not pay your debt if there is one.

...and it always hits around TAX SEASON.  I have been getting these type of phone calls since 2012 and every year it is the same thing, I need to pay aretitution fee of $1,500 if I want to resolve this issue.  The call I received this morning, he was very intimidating and I was a bit frazzled, that's how they get you.  The scary thing is they have ALL of my information name, DOB, SS#.  I informed them I did not receive any legal documents if they have ALL of my information why was I not aware of this.  He tried to tell me Bank of America was behind this and I informed them that was my current bank and I have not been made aware of this.  Apparently I was to be hand cuffed and taken in today @ 10am, I told him," do what you have to do, I have no money."  He stated my kids would be taken to Foster Care if I was locked up, how would I come up with $15,000 for the bail, I told him I wouldn't get bailed out, I would rott in jail for 84 months, apparently my allegations was Grand Theft.  He continued to state there was a FEDERAL WARRANT for my arrest but then stated I would be paying the state for this restitution fee....does this idiot not know state is governement not federal.  DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO INTIMIDATE YOU...IT IS A SCAM.  Even if you do owe money, any collector would be able to garnish wages before ever submitting any type of warrant.

He called me screaming saying there is a warrant out for my arrest issued with State of CA. When I asked for proof to be emailed or faxed he hung up on me. He then proceeded to call back and say if I am going to say I'm innocent then he will have local authorities pick me up and he will show me in person. He then hung up again. The same RESTRICTED number popped up on my phone 5 more times. I called my local PD and was informed that this is a scam and to block the calls. I informed her that it was a blocked call. I filed complaints with FTC and my Attorney General. The number he gave me to call back is an 800 number and since he wouldn't give me his company name I am not sure where to go from here.

I received a message from an investigator James Reed who claims that I need to return his call at 844-298-8833 ext 316. He claims that I am being investigated on some very serious charges and need to call him to avoid serious penalties. I called the number and there was no answer. I don't have any outstanding loans with anyone. This has to be scam. Who can we report these people too?

Received a call from Investigator Harmony Taylor, american, from California. Stating that I must not have received the 10 day notices and that criminal charges are going to be brought against my social security number that it is important that I return her call today. She repeated that at least 4 times. She called at my place of employment. 844-298-8833 ext 315.

For about 2 years I received the same type of calls on my cell phone from someone from a foreign company stating that criminal charges where going to be brought against my social security number for pay day loan that I did not pay. I do not owe on any pay day loans. This is all a scam.
