They are calling my work and leaving threatening messages I have called and just get an answering machine. And my home phone. It is reflecting bad on me at work I have left msg not to call work, also that I work mid nights I am not even there during the day. It claims to be the office of josh Newman how do I stop this further?

It's not the law office of whatever the goofs name is, it's the office of (said goof). Don't be fooled, he's about as much of a lawyer as Mickey Mouse is.

I've been getting these calls for more than two years.  I call them back once in a while and cuss them out.  They just keep on calling from 1-844, 1-855, 1-866, 1-877 & 1-403.  I also call demanding to speak to this f**got Josh newman...never available and they won't give you his direct line..  They say they are calling from the "law offices of Josh Newman".  There is no lawyer registered under that name so you know it is a scam they are trying to perpetuate.

Recieved numerous calls from these folks...different numbers...always same voicemail......irritating.....

Just got a call june 18, 2014 from a new number 1778 329 4125 and I didnt  answer my cell phone left a message to call back at this number 1 877 269 5926 I called back and left a message with name and number and no reference number

I ve been receiving the same calls for the last month, always with the message that Josh Newman office is seeking legal action as some name did not fulfill the contractural obligations. The name they say is not even mine. They say that me or my lawyer has to contact them immediately. I never called them back as I hope they will stop. The first number was 855-327-7261, they didn't call for a few days and today was a new number 778-329-4125. I am definitely going to use advice and call canadian anti fraud centre.

Have been receiving calls from "the Office of Josh Newman" threatening legal action for "my failure to meet my contractual obligations. These calls have been coming for several months now, from a variety of numbers . This latest call was from 1-877-420-3175 and requested I call 1-855-327-7261. I've had it with this and after reading all the complaints on this site, I am going to change my phone number!

repeated unwanted 1-844 calls from 1-844-677-6651 ..always recorded...states call is from a company who wants to collect an outstanding debt.    I do not owe anything to anyone...

Call them ask for the person and they'll say is this so and do. Say no don't know of this person and they'll say that they will remove you. Hope it that works.

When I called today a lady answered and said hello Ncr. I told them to stop calling me that this is harrasment and that I have already talked to my lawyer and that I have reported them to canada anti fraud agency. I haven't been able to get through on the phone to them yet, but I sent a few emails about it. When she asked me who I was I told her I didn't have to give out that information and she said goodbye and hung up on me.

I have received at least two calls in the last week in Alberta on my voice mail,not a real person leaving the message same name - same address. I just called the number and did get an answer. When I asked if this was Martin Goldberg, the lady hesitated and said yes. I told her I was going to report them for scamming(I have recently been working on a mortgage so know exactly what my credit bureau report is). Thanks to these posts I called from my work number which is generic for a large company. The lady tried to ask if I was calling from 403....when I told her I wouldn't give her my number and that the mumber on the call display wasn't my number,and that I would report them to the RCMP, she got really irate, told me they were a collection agency and if I didn't give my number she couldn't delete me from the system - maybe I was getting the calls in error. I told her I would give my name, but she wanted my number. I told her to correspond in writing and hung up. I will call that anti-fraud number as well.(probably not the RCMP)

Just got another one. They call my parents and I at least twice a week. I tried answering it the other day to tell them to stop and it went right to the recorded msg. Just called them kept ringing and finally went to a voicemail saying ip leave a msg.

I called AntiFraud today and reported getting calls from Martin Goldberg, 6285 Northam Drive in Mississauga.  When I called 844-677-6651 a message said the number was 'not recognized'.  AntiFraud filed a report but said there was nothing they could do.  They suggested I call the Credit Bureau 1-800-663-9980 to make sure this does not involve an identity theft.  Also, 1-866--828-5961 EquiFax - to ask for a print out of credit history to check further for identity theft.  Anti Fraud phone is 1-888-495-8501 to report these calls.  Perhaps if enough people reported good old Marty - he would have to stop!

I got a message from martin Goldberb he said he is a senior imbestigator threatening me on 24/04/2014 they have been calling me for 3 years nows wont leave me alone.

These jerks love to break the law.

1) They are calling a cell phone.  ILLEGAL.  A collector cannot contact a debtor in any manner that costs the debtor money.  Calling a cell phone cost the receiver money for the air time.

2) They are calling to collect a debt that is past the statute of limitations in Ontario.  If no payments have been made on a debt for 2 (two) years, and the lender/collector has not sued within that time, the debt is uncollectable and in the eyes of the law no longer exists.

Got the same call yesterday in Calgary. Just ignore it, it's an obvious scam aiming to extrapolate personal information.

a scammer called me today...his name is Martin Goldberg...from 844-677-6651 with an important message for me to get back to him immediately....said he was a senior investigator for CRI and his client is seeking immediate enforcement against me....and he needs to hear from me today.     I have been getting this  calls everyday for several days...same message.... I hope this is investigated.   I feel very sorry for old people who may be called, and who get scared.

I got a call at 4:00p.m. today (April 23) stating their client is seeking immediate enforcement against me ad he asked me to call 844-677-6651 ...he said their main address is 5 Northern Drive, 4th floor, Mississauga, Ontario... The name he gave was Martin Goldberg, a senior investigator ...CRI is their client seeking an immediate order of enforcement against me, so they need to hear from me today.   I GET THIS CALL EVERYDAY AT THE SAME TIME, SO I KNOW WHATEVER SCAMMER THIS IS HAS A LIST OF MANY NAMES.       I DID NOT ANSWER THE CALL.   IT CAME THROUGH ON MY VONNAGE VOICEMAIL, AND I THEN DELETE IT.        I WOULD LIKE GOVERNMENT INVESTIGATORS IN ONTARIO GET THIS MAN.  BECAUSE I FEEL SORRY FOR PEOPLE WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT IS A SCAM, AND THEY GET SCARED.    THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, AND THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE PUT IN JAIL.

the call is threatening, and says that they are CRI calling, and the debtor wants to be paid.  

received calls demanding I call or legal action will be taken....no company name given, just say we need to settle "this account immediately"  no idea who they are...they have called more than once

I got a message from martin Goldberb he said he is a senior imbestigator threatening that i have to contact them before 8 p.m. or else  they will do something against me,but  i don't owe anything to anybody so if they call again i will go further.It is HARASSMENT!I will try to report these CROOK.

I got a call from this number, collection agency I assume? threatening, too. I understand this is their job but I do not have the money to pay, why be so nasty??

I've been getting voice recorded messages from them. The number I was given is 1-844-677-6647. Spoke to some guy, but seemed suspicious as he did a lot of questioning on odd things. I ended the call

People please report them to the Canadian anti fraud Centre. They are called the NCR (national credit recovery) and they are 100% fake. If enough people do that, they will stop.
