This is one of several phones linked to Jamaican phones scamming the elderly. The area code is New York, but they are really in Jamaica, West Indies. They call and call, telling the elderly they've won $1.5mil dollars, new Mercedz 2010, etc. All the elderly have to do is send the "tax money", varies from $500 to $5,000. Seems no one would believe this, but my elderly uncle sent them thousands before he died. No he didn't win the money or the car. They also use the area code (876) which is listed as Jamaica. Beware!!
