Just got a phone call from a lady stranger saying a have court appearance in a different state I haven't lived for 3 yrs now.

Popped up as a withheld number on my phone so I didn't answer.  Chris left a message saying he was going to show up at my house and gave address with paperwork for me to sign.  He stated I needed to have a witness present with proper ID and if he couldn't find me at home he would go to my place of employment and have my supervisor sign off as a witness.  Left this number to call back and a case number.  Does anyone know who these people are and why they are saying they will show up at my house or work?

I just got a call from Freeda Thompson ID herself as a private corrier calling from 513-921-9821 saying they have a paackage needing my signature at my place of employment or home. gave # of 855-350-5495 to call if I had questions...

A civil suit has been filed against me, with no other details.  Said I am non-compliant, this is not the first time I have received a call.  they threaten to call my supervisor and have contacted my co-workers and friends.

OMG!!! I received a call from 855-212-9411...law office of steven derosa, left me a threatning message about check fraud and case #, and pending criminal suit. never returned the call, so i get a call today from some dude with a local area code @513-921-9821...saying he would be by mny house or job this week to serve me with papers, and then gave me the above number again.
So glad I found this site! I think I will be calling them tommorrow....

I received a threatning message today also.
Said they were going to have me arrested for being non compliant, but couldnt tell me what I was non compliant with.

I have received the same message and pretended that i did not receive a reference number. She said that it was the law office of steven derosa. Check out the link i have attached.

I got basically the same voicemail message.
I feel it is the same guy and illegal. No one has shown up in the last 5 days yet the msg states they have 24 hours to obtain my signature...bogus.

Just got the same phone call. Call came up from a private number and said they were from local sheriffs department but to talk to them to call the 855-212-9408 number. That's not our local area code.

They have called and threatened to come to my job.  I have already told the police officer that does security for our company.  The guy's name that left the message (I'm pretty sure it's a fake) and what time he stated he was coming.  The officer told me what the guy is going is illegal and he will be waiting for him (I doubt he will show up).  If I do not get any legal papers from the court system, I shouldn't worry about it.  Nothing can be done without a judge's decision and signature.

An interesting note for this number, I called after hours and got a message that "You have reached the department of the law offices of Steven Veroza (sp?). After doing an extensive search for this "attorney" could not find anyone licensed under this name.

Scammer called giving "case number" that does NOT appear on any docket. Caller had a middle Eastern accent presented himself as one "Jason Taylor"

Did you call?  I got the same message today.

Received a call from "a courier" to deliver a message.  "ARE YOU AWARE THERE IS A CIVIL LAWSUIT AGAINST YOU?"  noooo. "WELL YOU NEED TO CONTACT 855-212-9408 AND GIVE THEM CASE NUMBER.... __ __ __ __ __ AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU MORE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR CASE. AND GOOD LUCK".
