Yeah right. If you believe that I have some swampland to sell to you. They are straight up skeezebags. They continuously break laws and harass people. Florida law says you CANNOT be threatened or prosecuted for a pay day loan not paid off. They HAVE to give you credit counseling. Besides, I'm sure if places like AT&T used a collecting agency they would leave a message at least ONCE that month.

I also recently got my phone number changed and now I get daily calls. Is there any way to make it stop? I can't block numbers from my own phone apparently.

I noticed that I was getting several calls from this number, and like others have noted, it just rings once and stops. Caller never leaves voicemail. I finally called them back today to find out who it was. The recorded message indicated that my call would be recorded. When a live person got on the line, in heavily accented English, he asks how he could assist me. I told him that I received a call and wanted to know what it was about. He said, "One moment please," and then said nothing else for several seconds, so I hung up.

This number has been calling everyday for the past two weeks. They usually let it ring once and then hang up. How is this legal? Why even bother?

Phone rang once at 5:30pm on a Sunday. I get spam calls all the time since i changed my number and i havent even had time to change it on my accounts. I think I have a quickly recycled phone number. This is probably just another one of those spams.

They call me alllll the time too, Never leave a message, I just called it back from my office phone and it said it was MRS inc. in an Indian or so accent. I don't owe any bills so I don't know why they would call me.

This number has called me everyday for the last 8 days . . . they leave a message informing me to call them back and their office hours. They do not say who they are or why they are calling ? ? ? I'm not calling someone back if I don't know who they are or why they want me to call them back ! !
Bee 2014-05-31 19:30:12 Unknown
rings once everytime...then hangs up. Seriously..what's the point?
I don't think so! 2014-05-31 16:32:25 Unknown
No way I would verify anything. Especially from someone who writes a post such as this an cannot seem to post in correct English. Try again with someone else.

Congrats for flunking how to be a shill 101! Please attend summer school and repeat the course.. As they say, try try again! On second thought, please don't! In this case, try something else instead, oh say, like getting a real job. Your a epic failure as a shilly..
Elspeth 2014-05-30 02:21:14 Unknown
Riight - and we should listen to a shill for the scam, because???
mj 2014-05-30 02:20:09 Unknown
Exactly... Ones the account goes back to atnt then the debtor is liable to pay the entire balance and that too may be in just one pay.. But when the account is with mrs, this is how it works .. We used to get all the info abt the debtor from atnt ... Wherin we used to settle the account and also give payment plans on monthly, weekly, basis... But we used to hv them for a limited time and the account would go back to atnt...
Elspeth 2014-05-30 02:12:48 Unknown
Give it up already. We know you're a shill for these scammers!
mj... 2014-05-30 02:09:53 Debt Collector
I can say that with complete confidence because I have been a part of them... You guys can google and also make the payments online... And.. I mÿ self had n account with account which I resolved with mrs associates... That was back in 2011.. I recently left the job because we moved to CA.. In fact upon settling the account they also provide with a ROD letter i.e A release to debt letter to your mailing address ... Seriously guys if you have n account with MRS get it resolved until its with them.. Ones it goes back to the clients then they would not lower the balance ... All the best pals... Happy life

Don't EVER, EVER, EVER give out your personal information over the phone. Ask them WHO they are calling, if they are collecting a legitimate debt they will know you freekin name. Tell them to send you information in the mail. If they are a legitimate debt collector they will have your address on file. Contact the original debtor and see if they sold to debt to these...ah... scu... nice people. Then determine if you better off paying the debt or letting it rot off of your credit report. But never give them anything. Make them give you everything to verify who they really are. Make them send you mail. Make them prove that they now own your debt. Verify it with the company that sold the debt to them.
