I have received calls from Mark Moreno as well but he calls from different cell phone numbers 302-330-7151 and 302-261-8172.He has called me at work and home. He refers to "the firm" and needs to deliver paperwork to my job and I told him not to come to my job ,,please come to my home. I will update address with him and he told me that goes against his intructions and I need to call 866-844-8137 and 877-499-3364 to get it updated. But when i talk to Miss Walters (my case mgr) at Allied Associates. She informs me I cannot update my address info with out resolving my account first. I told her i need validation of debt first and can they email it to me. they did later on . I did not pay because I looked up the address 3961 E.Chandler Blvd. Suite 111,Phoenix,AZ 85048 and called the number on my email disconnected  address is part of a Mailing Center PAK Mail and I called them and the person I talked to to said she never heard of Allied associates group. The number on my email from this bogus company was 866-852-9210. Also disconnected. Hmmm...odd I would say. Anyway I did report this to FTC and after that I was told by the FTC rep to ask these ?'s the name of person I was talking to, the name of company, address of company ,phone number and professional business license number. They gave everything but the license number. I called twice and one girl Amy Miller said it wasn't on file and did I want a case mgr to call me back(no i did not) and the second one Maggie forgot last name ,,,she told me they don't give that info over the phone. The email looks bogus too. I know it is a scam and i won't pay it until I see something in mail. so hopefully this will help a little.

I received a call and message yesterday from 760-389-4716 (but asking in the message to call back another number).  The lady leaving the message didn't even say a company name...she just said "the firm".  Same thing though, that there was litigation out for me and that they have verified my home address.  Also, that they would serve me with papers unless I called the number to take care of it.  Bottom line for me is that if you can't tell me who the original lender, the original amount and the date this occurred....then too bad for you.  In the past I have had them say "we'll send it to you e-mail".  At the time I didn't think about it, but I should have said, "You give me your e-mail address and I'll state that you owe me thousands of dollars...when can I expect that payment?".  Our local paper made a point to state that this scam was going around.  One of the sheriffs also commented that they wouldn't call you first to serve papers for anything.  It's getting ridiculous- going to report this to the appropriate agencies.

I keep getting calls from 866-825-2386 and the locator's name is Kevin Cruise.  I had been speaking with a guy by the name of Clint.  I explained to him that my direct deposit had not come through that it would be the following weekday morning for funds to be available.  Clint said the case manager was not agreeable to that and that I would have to pay half of the first payment in order to get reinstated in the payment plan.  Clint said I would hear from the locator and I have not heard a word.  So, I don't know what to do....anyone going through this and what should I do.  Thanks.

I have been getting threatening calls from nationwide and the location services person called kevin cruise.  I tried to make a payment arrangement and then had to modify a different date so I would have available funds.  They said I would have to come up with half of the first payment in order for them to work with me.  And now the locator person will not leave a number for me  to call him back.  It was 901-231 something - I forgot.  But the nationwide number that I have had to call is 866-825-2386....anyone got any calls from that number?

Got a call from "the locator".  Actually I had a message from someone on the HR staff Where I work and she forwarded the voice mail.  First clue it?s a scam is when they disguise their phone number to look like a local call to get you to answer.  Total Recovery Solutions also does this.  The locator was asking the process for serving an employee.  I emailed the HR person back I had been having trouble with people using illegal tactics to collect on invalid debts.  I try to chalk this up to the price I pay for having a past with payday loans (that I?m grateful is over), but it does get tiring.  This is the first time someone has called HR, but I see the locator tried my phone first.

Anyway, the locator left the phone number 855-330-6597 for me to call if I wanted to resolve the issue before I had to be served and ended the voice mail with ?(my name) you have been notified?.

The next day I answered the phone and since I had not called the number she left as of that time, I told her I didn?t know what it was about.  She said she didn?t believe that, saying ?I think you know and I?m going to go ahead and place you on my schedule to be served today.?  You can avoid it if you call the number and deal with them.  She claimed not to know what it was about saying the documents were sealed and if she opened it she could lose her license.  I asked for her license number and she refused.  When I called the number, they said I owed $937 on an old payday loan with American Web Loan and I could either pay or get documents being charged with fraud and breach of contract.  I know they are not a licensed lender so I refused.  I asked for the name of their company and she said ?Nationwide?.  I said, ?Nationwide what??  She responded ?Just Nationwide?.  I asked for a fax number and address and she refused to provide either.

I asked her a question.  "You want me to give you a credit card or bank acct # to withdraw over $900, but you won?t give me a fax number or address?  Really?"  She said it is either that or get charged because American Web Loan is licensed.  I said not without a letter detailing the debt and it is required.  She said ?It is past that point now.?  It is never past that point folks.  When someone contacts you about a debt, they are required to provide paperwork.  They cannot just demand money from you over the phone and threatening criminal charges over a debt is illegal.  When I told her that, she got upset and said, ?Oh I see, everyone is doing something illegal except you.?

They are slick.  They claim ?We are not calling you, the locator is,? but I?m willing to bet this locator is sitting in the next cubicle.  I told her this was not the first time I had gotten a call like this and I know the game.  Then I told her I had seen some stuff about a company called Nationwide in California on the FTC website and she said, ?Well, you should not expect good reviews on line.?  I said these are not reviews dear, if you are the Nationwide I am looking at, you have a history with the Federal Trade Commission and it isn?t good, which is why I asked for the address and fax number so I know who I am dealing with."

She was really ticked then.  She told me I had obviously intentionally committed fraud and had no intention of resolving the matter without being charged so she could not help me.  She said they only help honest people.  She told me I had no obligation to pay through them that I could just take my chances in court if I didn?t want help. It cracks me up when they get all offended, it really does.  I had one guy try this scam on me and when I refused to pay he yelled that I was questioning his integrity.

Needless to say I have not heard from them or the locator again and it doesn't surprise me.  A couple of weeks prior, a company called "NCR" which is the subject of some threads on here tried the same thing.  After I refused to pay the supposed Processor left me a voice mail saying "I will see you immediately".  She never showed. I managed to get enough information to send them a cease and desist and report them to the FTC.

Total Recovery Solutions tried to collect on one from a company and I had the paid in full letter in front of me.  After I asked for the paperwork detailing the debt, she claimed the letter detailing the debt had been mailed 3 days prior, but I needed to do something about it that day.  That supposed letter never came.

I try to post whenever this happens because the first time someone called me with this crap I didn?t know what I needed to know and I fell for it to the tune of $750.  I cringe when I think about these jokers sitting back laughing as my money came in.  I had just lost my husband and had a 6 year-old and an infant at home.  I had taken out some loans when he had been ill.  I was too stressed and out of it to really think about checking up on it.  I know after they get done they just move on to the next person on the list.  Hopefully that person checks them out.  Google is your friend.  I Google every unknown number that pops up on my phone now.

No, the locator is not real. They actually broke the HIPPA Law by asking me where my doctor appointment was and who the doctor was. I told them to come to my house in 15 min. She said that she doesn't work that way that I would just have to stay and wait for her to show any time. That's how the doctor got into this. I told her that I would wait 15 minutes more and then I have to go to the appointment. Also DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY OR CREDIT CARDS. I did this and afterwards I called them and told them to fax proof of who they are and the proof they actually have this information and they denied me 3 times to do so. I cancelled the payments and then they threatened me to come after me for fraudulent activities along with the person I owed. Its a scam!!!!

No, America is the way it is because of Politicians that only care about votes, and not addressing real issues in the country. Are you going to smash both Presidents Bush and Obama for..........

Bailouts
Stimulus
Starting Wars
Flip Flopping on issues for the sake of votes
ect.

Besides the debt ratio is going up because of Washington, who is also responcible for the 7.4% unemployment in this Country. I'm sure the 7.4% would love to pay their bills, but until there's jobs, there's nothing they can do.

You want to speak about morals?

"You are a idiot husband and wife!!" (Well have you met them?)

"All you losers who don't pay your bills and take out payday loans should pay back the money STEAL"
(How do you know "ALL" these people posting have taken a payday loan/don't pay their bills?)

"You people are the real ones committing fraud" (Like I said, some have probibally been unemployed unexpectedly)

"Yep Bk is the solution you took because you have no responsibility to pay your Damn bills"
(Who Posted about filing B.K.?)

"LOSERS have noHonesty and morals GOOD Luck dummies"
(Morals? They seem to have no meaning to you, unless it involves yourself"

If you're going to talk about morals, maybe you should learn to lead by example, instead of just preaching about it.
