Called me at this number on Monday and called me at 857-444-8107 today.  After looking both numbers up on this wonderful sight realized it was same scammers.    Be aware of the second number!

And now I found an article "BBB: Consumers Should Think Twice About Donating To 7 Charities Tied To St. Louis Area Sweepstakes Firm" at http://stlouis.bbb.org/article/bbb-consumers- ... akes-firm-25529.  The so-called "Breast Cancer Financial Assistance Fund" was listed as one of these fraudulent or near-fraudulent "charities."  (Also known as National Cancer Assistance Foundation.)  Apparently, these are fronts for some business called Precision Performance Marketing.  Little if any money they get goes to legitimate charity purposes.  Apparently, they are scam artists making a fat paycheck on the charity of good people.

I just found this on the internet:  http://www.guidestar.org/organizations/27-128 ... tance-fund.aspx .  The site says ,"This organization has not appeared in IRS records for a number of months and may no longer exist.  This organization's exempt status was automatically revoked by the IRS for failure to file a Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, or 990-PF for 3 consecutive years. Further investigation and due diligence are warranted."  I don't know if anything has changed since this was posted but it seems very, very suspicious.

These people persist in calling me.  She asked for "the lady of the house," which annoyed me instantly.  When I asked who was calling she said she was calling from the "Breast Cancer Financial Assistance Fund."  I grumbled, "Stop calling me," hung up, and then blacklisted the number.  I've never heard of such a thing and I'm highly suspicious of it because it sounds LIKE one of the legitimate organizations but the name is NOT the same as one of them.

This call came in at 8:15 am.  Startling.  Are there no limits on robo calls?

Just called now.  Caller ID said "BCFA" and the number, which I recognized as the Boston area.  PICKED UP/HUNG UP WITHOUT ANSWERING this one AND all their OTHER calls using 413-241-3302.  Have ALSO tried calling from 857-444-5680 in the past.

This is NOT A "NON-PROFIT," people!  At BEST this is a TELEMARKETER calling *FOR* a non-profit; but MORE LIKELY THIS IS A SCAM, as there is NO "BCFA"  - IN BOSTON - listed with CHARITY NAVIGATOR.
www,charitynavigator.org    The only "BFCA" is an UNRATED 'charity' in BENSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, which has NOTHING to do with Breast Cancer - and NOTHING to do with BOSTON.   Keep in mind SCAMS use names SIMILAR to legit charities or Legit-SOUNDING names, with buzz words like "breast cancer' to illicit sympathy.  THAT DOES NOT MEAN ANY MONEY ACTUALLY GOES TO THE CAUSE THEY ARE CLAIMING TO REPRESENT!!!!!

EVEN IF they were legit, WHICH THEY ARE NOT, I would NEVER REWARD Cold Callers who Beg for Money.  If you GIVE that way, YOU JUST ENCOURAGE THEM TO CONTINUE.  ONLY IF EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO THEY CALL REFUSES TO ANSWER - OR at least REFUSES to GIVE anything to them - will these calls STOP.

Bothersome spam

The call was from the Breast Cancer Foundation of America.  They have called me many times over the last several years, and I have asked to be put on their do-not-call list.  Recently, I have had a couple calls from the same telemarketer, who knew that she had called me earlier this week and I had said NO; but she was "offering"  to put me down as a "pink level" contributor.  I told her NO, NO, NO.  Her organization is relentless;  her tactics border on harassment.  Failing to pick up the call means that BCFA will continue to call until they get a non-recorded human voice.

Caller claiming to be with org raising money for breast cancer. Claimed she could not hear me when I asked hard questions. Likely scam. Southern accent in Boston-not.

She was looking for someone whose name was Olivia. I told her that I was not and no one with that name was not at the number. She was rude and hung up.

If this fool wanted to be viewed as credible the message should have begun AFTER the the machine finished identifying itself.  All that appeared were two syllables, female voice.  Phone tray lists this # as heavy spam.
