I get a call from this number on my office phone once every morning and once every afternoon.  Have never picked up, as I googled it and came to this site the first time they called.  Pretty annoying.  Going to try to block it somehow.

Rec'd call 3/8/13. Called back and got a recording for "Subscription Journal Renewal. If you would like to renew press....IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ADDED TO OUR NO CALL LIST - PRESS 8".

Received call from this number. No message left.   Comes up Out of Area on caller id.

I received a call twice in the last 90 minutes.  I didn't answer the first time, but the second time I picked up.  There was no one there immediately, so too bad it was a delay in someone talking, because I disconnected before the robot dialer noticed me.  I'm glad I did now that I see this is yet another new scam caller.

They are calling 3 to 4 times day steady, and as everyone noted there is never anyone at the other end of the line.  Picking-up simply confirms your number is valid.  If your phone goes to voicemail, they get the same confirmation, of course.

For those of you who have such a service,  some providers in the US can automatically  block certain calls without sending them to your voicemail - your phone does not even ring on your end, but it does on their.  

For example when calling my business partner (in the US) through the Canadian office in Canada, I was using my cell to call our corporate 1.888 number which redirects call to each employee's cell phone.  Doing so, my caller ID does not go through properly (something to do with 1.888 provider trying to patch through my cell ID) and so I do not get through to him - for me the phone just keeps ringing, never going to voicemail, but for him his phone does not even ring.

If someone can figure out how that happen, I assume you can get your provided to block those unwanted call of Bank-whoever.

Claims to be some magazine subscription service by the name of "CMG" (Clever Marketing Group).  I've called them back many times and keep their customer service reps on the phone forever and then ask to speak to a supervisor and keep them on the phone forever.

It's something called "American Banker" but not the newspaper of a similar name.  Trying to give something free away and they call here all the time.  It's quite annoying.  They don't stop.  I think they're calling direct lines of assistants of people in the finance industry, so if that's you, and you see the number on your incoming screen, introduce yourself as your boss and tell them to stop calling because that's the only way I got them to stop.

Same thing here. They have called twice now, during the day and no one is on the other end.

They keep calling my cell phone,  from this number: 858-956-0045, day and night but when I pick up the phone, nobody is on the other end.

They have called my cell phone several times and when I answer there's no one on the other end. Very frustrating.
