Same MO. This "person" knows your name. Likely because your # is listed as a contact on Facebook or another social media site. It is a Phishing scam. Best to report it and block the number through your wireless provider site. The process is very easy and free.

Got the exact same txt message, but he/she used this number:

It only says 'hi, :D'..
When I replied and asked who this is, I also got a reply to add him or her in yahoo IM. I dont have yahoo IM.. ?

I received a text today from this number. First message was "heyyyy BJ". I replied asking who it was, got response of "add me on Y.a.h.o.o I'm madisonflirt55." I don't know who it is, o
r more importantly how they know my name.
