They keep on calling.  I have already complained to the CRTC.  These people are telemarketers, not a charity but they seem immune from Canada's laughable do not call list.

Called at 7:30.  I don't answer 800 numbers and glad I don't.  Seems like they've been annoying people for years. If they're pushing lottery tickets they're not a charity but scuzzy telemarketers and I'm on the DNC.  As the Brits say:  "Sod off"

Hi everybody. I used to work at miratel solutions and yes that is their phone number. For those who get the repeated calls I can tell you that since it is a commission job, if there is no answer on the first call, the employee will set it as a call back number. The only way possible to have your number is if you called in at a prior time to purchase a ticket, your information is saved on file. If you want to be removed you can call in or wait until they call you again and ask to be on the do not call list.

Called at 6:15, during dinner of course.  Telemarketers who obviously ignore the do not call list have a special place in hell.

Oh and Miratel Solutions is accredited by the BBB with an A+ rating.  You can search for them and find their rating at bbb.org.

The calls received from 866-647-2835 is Miratel Solutions, a call centre in Toronto.  They make calls on behalf of Registered Canadian charities and they've been doing it for for many years to remind supporters of upcoming deadlines.  CHARITIES ARE EXEMPT FROM THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST, so you need to call each charity you've supported to have your name added to their internal Do Not Call to avoid future phone calls.  I've been receiving these calls for years, supported many times and I've given my credit card over the phone each time. My card was always charged for the amount I expected and everything was handled completely professionally every single time. These people are a trusted source in my experience and are not part of a scam. Charities need to fundraise and I don't mind when it's a charity calling me.

What is this all about???

Received another call tonight at 7:55 pm.  These morons phone in the evenings when you are trying to get ready for tomorrow or during the supper hour (last call was at 5:43 pm Saturday night.  I am on the NDNCL and am fed up. I am reporting them.  Apparently they are a marketing company supposedly shilling for a lottery. Buying lottery tickets is not the same as donating to a lottery and therefore I feel I have no connection whatsoever with these scumbags. I have a Panasonic cordless phone which allows me to block up to 30 numbers. It rings once then hangs up on them and gives them a fast busy signal. Saves the aggravation with having to deal with these PITA's.

They're still at it. Called at 7:50 pm - no message, no one there. Now blocked!

I get these on a regular basis - so I have decided: There is NO WAY in H---L, that I will EVER donate to
Heart & Stroke  or the Cancer Society.  
They usually come to my door to ask for a donation, so now is the time to tell them where to go.

i called them back and pressed 4 for customer service. I asked them to remove my number and the lady obliged. Let's see if it works.

When you purchase a ticket online for any of these charitable organizations, such as The Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or The Princess Margaret Lottery, they force you to
supply a phone # on the order form. Thus, how they have your number. They also ask you for an email address. If you ever win anything from them, they're supposed to notify you by mail, but I guess they also want to call you. However, they will also use the phone number you supplied to make incessant marketing calls like everyone has described. Solution to problem: When you order your tickets, supply an email address (one that, perhaps,  you have created only for these kind or purposes) so they can notify you in case of win and future marketing messages, and for the required phone  #, put down 999-999-9999. Your problem of harassing calls solved!

I got a call from this number today but I didn't answer.  My number is on the Do Not Call List but these f**king telemarketers still call me.   The number belongs to:

I use Blackberry and i've downloaded their CALL CONTROL.  The application automatically drops the call from numbers I've listed on my Block List.  My cellphone doesn't even ring. I just see a missed call icon on the top screen.  Now i have to add this number to my Block List. Try this app, it really works and it's free!!

I always check the call displayand usually don't answer an unknown number. I answered once and there was no response. The calls continued several times a day. I suspected it was some kind of scam as the call ID showed the same number each time so I don't answer it any more but the calls continue.

I checked the number on the Internet and found it has been reported several times.

i GET THIS NUMBER SEVERAL TIMES A DAY.  USUALLY IGNORE - WHEN ANSWERED GET SILENCE!

where are you? How were you able to block them? I am with BELL and they apparently have no such service.Your help would be appreciated.Do you use Voip as your telco?

Tired of whoever this is calling me.  They call every single day!  For months now.  It's unacceptable even if it is a charity.

HEART & STROKE FOUNDATION - WARNING
I actually was on the web-site looking to see what the prizes were like. The following day they called me on my cell phone, which means they accessed my information from my computer.  I only use my cell phone for on-line forms and was very upset. When I brought this to the gentleman's attention, he hung up on me. So that was my first clue. I will be bringing this to the media's attention.

Seems to be the Canada's Heart and Stroke Lottery's tele-marketing group.
