i been getting calls from this number 18667794568 not sure where its coming from.......its irras.........and then i call back and like mr. brad no one answers cause its a wrong number....what the hell

I just spoke with these ppl.  They had info about my credit card, my address, and wanted me to accept a $100 Walmart card and $50 Gas card.  All I had to do was look at the three brochures they were sending in the mail and cancel in 10 days if I didn't want them.

I started quesioning him (I'm on the do not call list too).  He said I was getting this offer bc I was a "preffered card member".  I no longer have caller id, but guess I'll have to get it back bc of these rats.  I plainly told him not to enroll me in anything, not to send anything in the mail, and not to contact me again.  Who knows if it will work!

Spoke with my credit card company too.  They said they had no idea who the company was and did not affiliate themselves with anyone offering Walmart or Gas cards.

Next time they call you, please try and talk to them - get as much information from them as you can - playing the part of an inquiring customer who may be interested in their offer.  Get their call-back telephone number (the one that appears on your phone doesn't work, as most of us have found out), or an address where they can be reached.  Say you don't have time for the call at that time, but that you would like to call them back, or whatever you deem appropriate. I tried to get as much info as I could last time they called, but when I asked to speak to a manager, saying that I was mad at their business practices, the representative said "Just a minute" ---and then the phone went dead.  They have not called back since (after several weeks of harassment).  PLEASE GET AS MUCH INFO AS YOU CAN, AND EMAIL ME WHAT YOU FIND OUT.  ondine_@hotmail.com   PLEASE.   I am playing Nancy Drew here, and want to get the rat out of the nest.  Please!!  I have no way to reach them now that they are not calling me, and I need as much info as I can.

I too am recieving several calls from this number. Says she is Stephanie and she states my last 4#'s of my credit card. She says I have won a gas card of 400 or 500 dollars so on so forth. I told her she is calling a business line. Wellllllllll my business line prints out every call coming into my house after the first ring regardless if the phone is answered. I am on the do-not-call list and have written proof of their calls.

I get called every two hours apart three times a day. A few times i have just heard what sounds like a factory noise or people in the back and then i get hung up on. i called verizon and they told me it would cost 85 bucks or i would have to get on the nationwide plan to block the number, so i will cancel their service as soon as my contract is up.

I have been getting calls from-866-779-4568 for about 2 weeks 5 or 6 times a day. They say that  I made a purchase on line and gave my number as a contact I haven't answered for at least 10 days and it hasn't stopped.7 days a week. Anyone know what I can do ? I am on the
"do not call registry"

Mysterious call on 9/7/2008 at 4:43pm EST, USA.  Did not pick up.  They have called before, but I did not record the date/times.  Did not leave a message.  What's interesting is that the call came a few hours after a phone call from +442086362810, which also left no message.  Trying to call these numbers back does not work --- It's like someone is trying to trick people out by calling from different locations.

I have also been getting these phone calls on a daily basis 3-4 times a day.

I don't recognize the number so I don't pick up.
But I got tired of the calls coming in, so I answered and there is silence then they hang up. Yesterday evening when I got a call from them,I called the number back with out the 1, just 866-779-4568 some little kid answered the phone. I just got the call again and I called back again with out the 1 and it was some woman, she passed the phone to her husband, and he said no one has been calling me from that number, that it was a wrong number.
I also wish that these calls would stop, my phone service can't block these calls.

They called this morning and told me that they are from Capital Reward.They asked me for my name and they just disconted right away. It is rare.

Fiance has been receiving calls from this number, the first time they said they were with capital rewards. they gave our old address and wanted our new one when we said that's not current, when we politely refused to update the address because they wouldn't give any information about themselves they started yelling at my fiance telling her not to be irate and he doesn't have to put up with that and disconnected. then had many calls where they hung up immediately, this morning she received a call where they asked if it was her(asked by name) she said yes and they disconnected

I think this number is from a gambling company overseas. I actually had someone anwser before and it was them telling me to set an accout to gamble offshore. I think this is what this number is. 18667794568. I hope this info will help

I am getting call from this number 4 to 5 times a day.. first time thought it was from my doctor's office.. so i called back.. it is hell.. anyone know how to stop this...

Get a call from this same number at least three times a day. No one is ever there. If the answering machine picks up, they either they don't stay connected long enough to register or there is a brief blank message. If you pick up the phone there is never anything there, only dead silence. It doesn't matter how long you stay connected there is never anything there. We have tried laying on the touchtones, using a marine emergency horn, a whistle all to no avail. There is never a response provoked from the other end. Still the calls keep coming.

I have received the same call from 1-866-779-4568.  They have called me up to 7 times a day.  I asked them who they were and they hung up.  I got one of those creeps to actually talk with me, they just kept asking for my dad.  I am in my 30's not a child and I do not live with my dad he has his own home and I have mine.  I asked them to stop calling and get me off of their list, they just hung up and called me an hour later.


I called ATT and an operator just kept asking me "So, how can I HELP YOU"?  I kept telling her I needed a phone # looked up up and explained my situation.  She again repeated: "So, how can I HELP YOU"?  I repeated my situation AGAIN to the ATT operator and she switched me to another person.  

The second person I spoke with told me they can block up to 15 numbers from my phone and I will NEVER get bothered again, $5.00 per month, OF COURSE!

I told the ATT guy that they new my dad's name but had my number, they are relentless and keep calling me every day several times a day.  I want to know who they are.  He told me they could do nothing for me but I could use Google to look the number up.  

Hence here I am in this little growing community.  I am all for “CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT” against these creeps.

At least I am NOT the only one, NOT.  That does not help much, I am still VERY ANNOYED!

rc'vd similar hang ups.  waited for the caller to ID themselves this afternoon and got the capitolrewards spiel.  they have my last 4 SSN digits and mentioned that my online password will be my first 3 digits.  with that info & 100 possible middle digit combinations, it would be fairly easy to construct my SSN and then access multiple accounts.  pretty. sad.  the hook is over $400 worth of free gas. even if it is legitimate, the risks outweigh any reward.

I got a call from this number and they left a voicemail with a lot of people talking in the background and I heard them saying "What, huh? uh huh, uh huh, 6462," various things like that. I don't know what they're calling for. but they're called me 4-5 times this week.

I’m not sure if they are totally inept morons who don’t know how to work their equipment or if they are so sneaky that they are trying to record my voice accepting something I don’t want.

This is a telemarketing SCAM. They know my name and have some level of access to recent credit card purchases I’ve made online or over the phone. They sound official and even know the last 4 digits of my card. They often state it is part of a reward program for using your card. They want to give you something - BUT not for free.

One of these scams I fell for on another number a few weeks back. It had to do with the US Patriot Card and Liberty Fun Pass card. They ask what type of reward gift card you would like to receive (Walmart, Starbucks or Best Buy). They say they are $25 gift cards. All you have to do is sign up for a trial membership of each card where they initially charge you $1.95 and $1.97 respectively for mailing of trail packages. I saw the charges on my card immediately. Two weeks later I still hadn’t received the card trail packages or the gift card.  Two days after I called and complained I received my cards in the mail with the trail period nearly finished. I called and went online and immediately cancelled both of them. If I had not, the membership would have caused recurring charges around $12-15 per month!  About 2 weeks after I cancelled both cards I received a letter about my gift card. Trying to be weasels they have some legalese written that stated they will invalidate my gift card if I mark more than one choice or anything is illegible. They also give the option to donate your gift card to a member of the armed services. No doubt this untraceable act will result in no one getting the card.

Although this is example of another number, the current number is basically the same deal. They knew my name and card I used. They quickly wanted me to say yes to sign up for a reward and charge me a nominal fee. This is the new wave of telemarketing scams. Beware!

I suggest we all band together and eliminate these blood suckers one at a time. The last few calls I’ve received I’ve mentioned the words “CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT” and “DO NOT CALL LIST” among a few other choice expletives.
