They guy that called my house stated that I had something wrong with my comuter because it was sending bad messages! I just got a new computer and I have antivirus on it and did not have it hooked up yet! the old computer had not mbeen working for a month so was unhooked!

This number calls constantly.  never leaves message.  I don't answer any of them as I know it is some kind of scam.  It sure is a nuisance.

I got a call from this number yesterday, 7/27, but had missed the call. No message. It is really helpful to be able to see comments from all of you to validate my concerns whenever an unknown call comes in on my cellphone. I never answer and have given all of the spam callers a "special" ringtone so that I don't bother running to answer. Thanks! By the way, I got a call from Jamaica the other day too. I couldn't find any comments anywhere about the number but be prepared!

Calls from this number, showing "unidentified caller" kept coming without any message.  Caller Id shows up on TV screen and it hangs on for some time (irritating - especially when something is being recorded) so I finally answered.  As soon as a male, who could hardly speak English, said "hello, sir", I responded by screaming as loud and mad as possible " I DON'T KNOW YOU" and hung up.  Hope this finally stops it as the "Do Not Call" lists don't work for all the scammers out there.

I'm so happy I found this. I got a call and no answer on the other end. If they call back with the computer spiel I'm going to have a bit of fun with it.

They guy who called my house had what sounded like a Russian accent.  As soon as I told him I'm on my states no-call list, he seemed kind of startled, mumbled something and hung up.

So tired of these calls - thinking about getting a police whistle and blowing their eardrums out when they call

Caller  said my name several times then left several seconds of heavy breathing on my machine, today. 7/27. @ 11:00 a.m. CST.

Received a call from this number. We were not home and the voicemail left was a woman (I think) and kept saying "Hello" into the phone before hanging up...overall about a 30 second message.

Got a call from this number said it was a security emergency from DC (or IT) really distorted like we had a bad cell phone connection or like someone had a phone on speaker talking in their car with the window down going through a tunnel.

I got this call today about "Microsoft Awareness"and knowing it was a scam, I just sat and listened, without saying a word. He finally hung up...

Recieve phone call telling me he was from IT calling about my computer. I told him he was not calling me about my computer because he was not from my work. He then hung up. Another Scammer.......

It is a scam. Just hang up on them immediately.

I have received at least two calls from this number. Similar to the above reports, the male sounds like he's not native to the U.S., and he starts off by saying he's concerned about my computer. Both times the phone connection dropped rather quickly.

I got a call from someone from this number also who could barely speak English telling me every time I used my browser I was infecting my computer. I said I run virus and malware scans on a regular basis, he said oh that doesn't matter sir. I said ok what browser, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera and he kept saying ah, ah, I said oh you mean any browser, he say's oh yes sir any browsers there are thousands of these viruses attacking everyday. I said where did you get my number, he said a data base, I said good I'm on the state and national do not call list and if you call again I'll report you to the state attorney generals office and hung up. I really can't report the number because it's obviously a bogus number because I tried to call it back and a recording said "your call can not be completed, please check the number again.

Just got a call from this number didn't answer it, The caller id said 'Name Not Found'. I dont answer calls when I dont know the number anyway.

I got the same call last night and told them I didn't trust them and not to call me back. They called back today and I didn't answer.    This is a scam. Hope no one falls for it.

Got a call from this number with a spiel about my computer being internet vulnerable. Since I'm a comp tech, I knew he was a fake. Guy spoke hardly understandable english. Gave him the hardest time in his life. Had him going in circles trying to figure out my "problem". Gave him no information about anything and kept him chasing his own tail like the dog this guy and his associates are. Finally he got so exasperated he said he,d have to get back. Hope he does cause I,m primed and ready for round two.

Some type of call center. Could be a scam to get control of your computer by lying about computers in the U.S. having viruses. Since this number has an "exchange" of 000 as a fake caller ID number I'm guessing it is some OUT OF COUNTRY scam artist that don't know how the US phone numbers work.

Nigerian Scam.

Have received 2 calls from this number.  Did not answer 1st time, 2nd time got a strange female voice that I couldn't understand.  Cant block the call because of the "000" part of the number. Very annoying people!!!

Got a call from the same number about three hours ago.  I listened to him for a while, holding back laughter, then told him he picked the wrong number and that I've been in IT for over 20 years and he was full of it. He got pissed and started cussing at me for wasting his time....Used the some MF'er line as above then we got in a cussing contest before he hung up on me.  Overall a very humorous call.  Just hope no one falls for that crap!!!

Eat S*** & Die

Just got a call from this number. When I asked the gentleman on the end of the line who was calling, he replied with a heavy accent, "This is your father you m*****f*****." That was pretty much the end of that conversation.

This is a criminal scam.  They attempt to get people to follow directions that will compromise their computer security.
They use the gathered information from compromised computers steal funds to fund TERRORIST activities.

I got a phone call from 1-872-000-1008 with a bad connection with a male who could barely speak English.  He was asking about my computer saying it was infected and he was going to give me steps to correct it.  I knew it was a scammer so I played along with him without actually giving him any information.  I kept saying yes to the steps he told me to do on the computer but wasn't actually doing anything.  Finally after a while of messing with him I told him I wasn't falling for his scam and hung up on him.  He called back and I picked up the phone and set it on the table.  I later did a call back to the number and got an operator message saying the international number was not in service.  How dumb are they?? Funny thing is some people actually fall for this crap!

Called about computer security. Told him I have secure antivirus and take me off their calling list, he kept yelling "ma'am" at me and trying his spiel til I hung up.

I've received several calls from these folks. Funny thing is, they hang up on me when I let them know I am a senior architect with appropriate industry credentials in security.

-I received a call from this number.  They identified themselves as being a "Microsoft awareness call", attempting to convince me there was a problem whenever I went onto the web.  The foreign male voice started to ask questions about my home computer when I cut off the call.
-I contacted Microsoft and their comment was that Microsoft does not conduct any unsolicited phone calls.
-I would suggest to hang up without giving them any information at all.

Received on 07/19.  No message.
