The phone number 876-945-0579 is a Jamaica number according to Qwest Communications, our local telephone service provider.  It is used by people who claim to represent SweepStake winnings from US Purchasing Exchange.  My wife sent them a total of $9500.00 over the course of three days.  They told her she had won a large sum of money, and she had to pay various fees and taxes to receive her 'winnings.'  The only likely winner is US Purchasing Exchange.

My Mom, 81 w/Alzheimers, got sucked into calling this number. I do her bills, so she didn't send them anything, but the 6 min phone call was almost $25. And of course, Verizon won't waive it.

My mother keeps receiving calls about winning prizes and money. They keep talking, but we never receive anything.
