called AT&T to ask for help on my cell phone .... I must have dialed the wrong # because a person with a strong accent said I was one of very few people being given a $500 gift card that can be used for groceries ...but he needed my visa number.  I said I'd have to look for it ... after several minutes I hung up ... didn't feel right about it all .... in just a few minutes he called me from "877-337-3617" .. I answered he said he'd wait that we must have been disconected ... I hung up again ... and again he called ... I didn't pick up!!!

I got this same call at my work. Offering me 200.00 for being a valued shopper. He too had a very Indian accent, told me his name was Keith Williams. yea right!!! I kept asking for the name of the company and all he would say was Lifeguard. I too was trying to google it at the same time.  I told him that I didn't have any money and was living off my change until payday. He told me to go to any shopping center and get  a 5.00 prepaid visa card(He insisted that it had to have the visa logo on it)and he will call me back tomorrow. I offered to call him back, but he said no I had to speak with him only and that the phone number he gave me was for customer service only. He also gave me the same code 0023. Didn't find this sight til after he hung up.  Glad I did.  Thank you!

Got a call from this number too. Almost was fooled, until he asked for a 4.95 fee. I said no. At this point my Google search was complete, thanks to this site. I said delete my information. He starts getting irate and jabbering in his Indian accent. Thank God I only use cash.

I got a call this morning from a very Indian sounding man claiming to be named "Pete" saying that he was from Life Guard and that I had won $200 in a Visa cash card for use in any store. He then proceeded to verify my address. (He already knew it!) And then kept badgering me to give him a credit card number. He even tried to give me his personal I'd number (0023) as a way of making me feel better. When I still refused he became belligerent. I finally told him I don't own a credit or debit card and he hung up abruptly.

Received three consecutive calls from these same folks. Same MO, Same pushy people. I could not get an address other than Scottsdale, Arizona, and a worthless 877 number. I put in a complaint with the FCC. I guess the no-call list doesn't mean anything in India.

I did get the same call this morning. Same type of stuff, indian very heavy accent. The line seemed to have time delay on his end. Some 200$ gift card because I am a valued customer etc. I asked to be transferred to his supervisor. This was a lady without a heavy accent (still a foreign accent). I told her that I did not recognize her company. She laughed. Then she went on about this card and then she mentioned a one time fee of 4.95$. I got very angry with her (I knew that the credit number thing was coming). I told her that this was a scam and not to call my line again. The indian guy called again. I was even more angry. And he called again this time he spoke to me in indian. The good thing is that my line is monitored 24/7.

Yep, they are still at it.  I just got a call from the "lifegaurd" company out of Scottsdale AZ and they knew my home address too. Of course it was obviously a scam when my 200 gas gift card required a 4.95 shipping and handling fee.  Not into waisting my vacation time on the phone with some scanner with a heavy Indian accent.

This scumbag tried calling me from lifeguard offering me 200 dollars off my medical bills, i kept him on the line for about 30 minutes, i get these kinds of calls a lot, and its really starting to piss me off, so this time everytime he asked if i had any questions i would ask him personal questions about himself, and his different standpoints on political situation such as if he thought there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll during the JFK assasination, the conversation was hillarious, and im proud to waste that stupid a***oles time. i highly reccomend if you get a call like this you do the same, it really starts to get on their nerves after a while

I received the call twice today for $200 in coupons from LIFEGARD MARKETING.  The first time I couldn't verify any info online while on the phone with them.  They said the website was under contruction!  I ask for mailing address and received address in Arizona.  HEAVY INDIAN ACCENT.  I said I wasn't interested 10 times and said good bye.  He actually called me right back and said "please, why do you hang up?"  Duhhh.  Why do you insist to bug someone who is on to you and will probably report you as a SCAM.  Two hours later the "supervisor" called me back to get my credit card number.  I told him to trust me and send an invoice with my package that I don't have a credit card.  They finally said ok and hung up.  THIS IS A SCAM.  Inform all of your frienda and family.

Caller said they would give me $200 in gift certificates for groceries. They wanted my Visa card number and expiration date to verify I had a Visa card. They had my address, too. They said I won the $200 for being a good user of the Visa card. I thought it was a scam and only got the 877 number from them, but they wouldn't give me an address or other phone number. They also keep calling me multiple times from 2:30 PM through 8:50 PM on certain days. This company is very tricky. They try to make themselves sound legitimate by giving out this phone number with a useless customer service and staff with supervisors who are all part of the scam. I am filing a complaint with the FTC to help others be aware of this scam, too

Called at 8:45.  Spoke with "Ryan" with an indian accent.  Read scripted answers to various questions, kept asking for my information.  I hung up after 6 minutes of asking "What is the name and phone number of your company?"

I feel kinda ripped off, though, because they only offered me $200.

Received call at 8:30 EST.  Immediately told them to take me off their list and got asked "What's my problem?  Don't you want $200?"  Asked why I was being so rude to him.  Asked him to take me off his list, got jibberish with an Indian accent.  Asked where he was from and he finally said Lifeguard, asked what state and he said Arizona.  Finally hung up because I couldn't get him to agree to take me off his list.

insistant on a $200 visa card I could use to shop and use at any retail store. Told him this sounded all too good to be true.  Something just doesn't sound right. *(If it sounds too good to be true it probably is). they wanted at credit card to charge the shipping and handling of 4.95.
then wanted to transfer me to a supervisor.  I Didn;t give them any thing. I looked on line while I was on the phone with them and googled the number.  So a big thank you to all of you who posted your comments. Lets Keep the bad guys at bay.  One for the good guys!
Thank you again.

I too have been receiving phone calls from this company; however, the man with the Indian accent claimed to be from Lifeguard out of California and said I was selected to win $500 in groceries.  When I told them "no thanks, give it to someone else" he was very upset and kept asking me "why not?  what is your problem?"  I also asked how he got my number, he said he collected it from the supermarkets in the area.  When I questioned him as to how the grocery store would have my telephone number, he again asked me "Ma'am, what is your problem?" I had to hang up. No thank you!  How is that hard to understand?

Same experience. Several people with heavy Indian accents, $500 coupon for being a "valued" customer, supposedly from Lifeguard. Told me at first I was selected because I'd never missed getting my VISA payment in on time. HA! Would that were so.  Desperately wanted my VISA card number, and assured me repeatedly they didn't need the backside 4 security numbers so it would be "safe". Started getting irritated when I refused to give out my VISA over the phone, after googleing and finding this page while making them wait, so I hung up. Total SCAM. Also, caller ID just said it was 'Out Of Area', the actual number was screened. Don't fall for it, they are just thieves and criminals preying on the greedy and gullible.

I received a call at 9:30 pm on Tuesday June 30, 2009. An Indian accent called and said that we had own $500 for groceries.  I asked him how he got my wife's name and home address.  He told me they get from the Super Market and shopping centers.  He needed my Visa expiration date to pay for the $4.95 shipping and handling to ensure that I get the $500 shopping coupon.  I told him if the companies are so generous and offer to pay for the shopping free $500, then it will not hurt to deduct $5.  I asked him to just send me a $495 coupon, but he insisted he needed my card or debit card with expiration date to confirm.  He asked if I had a different credit card that I could use.  I told him there are a lot of scams if it is true the shopping appreciation by the company why not send me the money and subtract the shipping and handling cost.  He then transfers the phone to confirm with his supervisor. I asked the supervisor where are you in USA and he hesitated to tell me.  I asked him are you currently in India.  He said, "Yes, I am in Indonesia".  LOL.  He think he can fool me with Indian Accent.  He claimed to be with Lifeguard out of Scottsdale, Arizona.  I hanged up the phone and he called me again.  He gave me his phone # of 1-877-216-2446.  SCAM!

Same story with me. I couldn't even understand the woman on the phone. She said she was with Life Guard and wanted to give me $500 in grocery coupons. I immediately googled the company while on the phone and found scam information. I dont know how they got my info but I hung up and told her I wasn't paying her anything and I do not give out my personal address or any info for that matter.

i also forgot to mention the part where these people repeatedly kept on calling my house after i gave them ny card number and the funds was not avaliable maybe four or five times i got really upset the last time they called and just told them not to call me no more that i had changed my mind but it was then a little to late for that because he told me oh i was calling you to let you know we receieved the money and you will be getting your coupons and health benefits in the mail in a few days. oh yeah and about the health benefits they wre free for the first 14 days and after that they would charge 49.95 each month after.(AND this part is to you people that are doing this to other people if you can read english because you sure dont know how to speak it very well, you might be setting back laughing at all of people like me that fell for your lies, but guess what the laugh is on you especially when you get caught then its not going to be so funny well not for you all will it? but guess what it will be to me and a alot of other people then we will get our turn to laugh and i cant wait!!!!!)

I received a call at 9:28 pm on Monday June 15, 2009. A representative by the name of Jacob Smith with an Indian accent call and said that we had own $500 for grosories. I thought at first that maybe it was one of my family member, because of the time that it was. I ask for him to let me talk to his manager because of the hours that they were calling me. I was never mad at all but I ask why would they call so late, I continue by saying that it was againts the law to call after 9pm. I ask the manager what was his name he said it was Fernando Rodrigo, he had also an Indian accent and with a name and a last name that is more like a Spanish/hispanic/latino name. He then started being offensive just cause I asked if this is true why would they call so late, then a woman graved the phone and I asked her why was the other representative offending me when I never had said a bad word to him, she too had an Indian accent. I did not wanted to hang up until they gave me an asnwer to why they were calling so late and she too started being offensive in English and also in their own language, I wanted to see until when they were going to stop using faul language and after almost 30 minutes I hung up.

Brian Smith, with a heavy accent, called offering me a free $500 coupon for groceries.  He needed my Visa expiration date to pay for the $4.95 shipping and handling to insure that I got the coupon.  I asked him to just send me a $495 coupon, but he insisted he needed my card expiration date to confirm.  He asked if I had a different credit card that I could use.  I told him I had no credit cards for this.  He then hung up.  Very strange that a guy would argue with me, when he was giving me the $500 coupon and then was going to transfer me to confirm with his supervisor. He claimed to be with Lifeguard out of Scottsdale, Arizona.  He gave me his phone # of 1877-216-2406.  SCAM!

Also got call for $500 grocery card because of my good credit with Visa--only $4.95 for processing fees. I do not have a Visa card. Scammer claimed he was with Lifeguard in Scottsdale, AZ. Managed to waste a few minutes of his time.

When I called the number the message stated that the office was closed and only open from Monday - Friday.  If this is the case how can this so called company withdraw money from my debit card if I have never given them my card number.  i was sittingon my couch watching tv when the text message stating that 19.95 was withdrawn out of my account.  I also had 1.95 withdrawn in April 2009 while I was standing in line at Wal-Mart. These people do illegal transactions.
