I got the same charges on my account, one for $24.95 from "Magazines 8772167802" and another for 16.22 ID Theft/ID Sentinel.  I called the bank and asked to cancel my card.  Unfortunately, I got the same messages to both numbers, 877 216-7802 and 877 216-8113. KEEP CALLING and hit "0" each time the recording comes on. Someonw will answer.  This is a call center based out in Deerfield Beach Florida.  I was told the order came from a company named Treasure Coast Magazine -- hope this helps.
here are 2 names when you call the 8772167802#: Christen Lee and Cheryl Brown -- Good luck

P.S. don't use your credit card to sign up for any magazine/newspaer promos where in return you get a gift card of some sort..like in my case I went to Walmart and signed up for newspaper promo and recvd a $10 and 5 dollar gift card to Walmart, they took my debit card info and I think thats where this came from ---- so becareful.

I too saw these charges today (they were charged yesterday).  One was the $24.95 and the other for $16.22.  I called both numbers and got recordings the first time.  Called a 3rd time and was put on hold for 25 minutes.  I guess they thought if I got frustrated for waiting, I'd hang up.  I told the girl on the phone that I did not authorize these and she said "well what do you want to do, cancel?" and I said "of course since I didn't order any magazine".  HELLO!!!  What kind of question was that?  I had to ask for a cancellation number because she didn't offer it up.  I'm glad I caught it quick!

i actually called them this morning and a lady answered, found my name in her system and told me that my order (which I never placed) was recorded last month. it was for some magazines (I never would read) and also for some identity theft protection pgm (which I also never ordered). she said that she would cancel the orders and they would be charged back to my account. Looked like they are just a collection agency for some other company who runs this cam. she was nice and helpful. so keep calling.

Does anyone know HOW they get your debit card number in the first place?

I got the same charges:  $24.95 from "Magazines 8772167802" and 2 pending charges from "ID Sentinel 8772168113".  I called my bank, and it turns out they were using my Visa debit card number associated with my bank account.  I called my bank, and they stopped the payment for the pending charges from ID Sentinel, opened a fraud claim on Magazines, and cancelled my card.  The company put through another "forced charge" on the credit card a couple of days later under the name "ID Theft Protect".  I've called my bank, and after about 5 minutes, they added it to the fraud claim.
My advice is to call your bank, cancel your debit card, and cut them off!
Does anyone have an address for this company?  I'm writing to my state attorney general to report this fraud.

KEEP CALLING THEM!!!!!!!!!! Don't stop until they actually answer. Time is important. You only have 7-14 days from the day they charge your account. If you call on time they will refund you. It's a magazine company. When you cancel don't hang up without getting a cancellation number. AMERICA'S READERS CHOICE WILL CALL YOU TO CONFIRM YOU RECEIVED YOUR MAGAZINES AND WILL TRY TO "GIVE" YOU MORE MAGAZINES. When they transfer you to their supervisor he will let you know the extra magazines you were offered "for free" will actually cost you $40 but if you decide to cancel everything he will get upset and so will you with the way they'll treat you, and the supervisor will theaten you to charge you even more for being so upset and rude ($60). DO NOT TAKE THE CALL AND DO NOT LET A GIFT CARD TAKE YOU IN. THEY WILL RUIN YOUR PEACE. Their phone number is 954-719-5356. If they call you just let them know you have cancelled and provide them with a cancellatin number and date. THE GIFT CARD is not worth all the hassel. TELL YOUR BANK TO CHANGE YOUR CARD'S ACCOUNT NUMBER.

I went onto my bank account today 03/25 and found this charge: Magazine 877-216-7802 FL $24.95. I called my bank and told them I had not made the purchase. They told me I had to call the company and see if I could get a refund. When I called the company, all I got was an answering service stating that I'd called the customer service dept and that normal business hours are 8:30a - 5:00p and to leave a message. I called durring business hours but could not get through. I did a search online for the phone number and found link after link of complaints. When I saw the name Roadside Assurance Magazine on a complaint, I did a search on that. When I got to the website it said it was unavailable.

My daughter is in Army Basic Training at Fort Jackson, and the Army messed up her direct deposit to the Army checking they set up for her.  So I mailed her personal checkbook, register, bank card and credit card on Saturday, March 19.  This morning, March 22nd, I called the bank and learned her bank card was used twice yesterday, 3/21. I thought she must have received and used it, but when I looked online, I saw these two charges and called the phone numbers:
03/21/11         ROADSIDE ASSURANCE 2    877-216-7802 FL     $24.95
03/21/11         ID SENTINEL                   2    877-216-8113 FL     $16.22
The same recorded greeting answers both numbers without identifying the business:  "Hello, and thank you for calling the Customer Service Department. Our normal business hours are 8:30 AM till 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. If you have called before or after these hours, please leave a message, and your call will be returned the next business day. If you have reached this message during normal business hours, all of our agents are busy helping other customers.  Please leave a message, and your call will be returned by the first available agent.  Thank you.  ... Sorry, this mailbox is full."
I can only reach my daughter by snail mail to find out if she knows anything about these charges.

Me too!  My husband responded to the letter and cancelled--we don't know what we were cancelling.  It showed up on our credit card before we received the letter.  Now I have to fight to get the charges off.  Did you have any luck disputing the charges.  Does anyone know what this company claims to sell?

I received a letter from this company telling me that I was signed up for their subscription service.  Both charges showed up on my bank account as well and I have disputed the charges.
