Just got a call at 8:08 am  They said it was a courtesy call for  law enforcement.  Thanking me for my past gift
Pretty sure I never donated before.  Asked them to stop calling and I hung up.  They call 4 or 5 times a day

They call us about 4 times a week between 8:00 pm to 8:45 and specifically ask for my wife.  They will not identify themselves nor leave a message.  

  I have received daily phone calls from this number for three days - each time politely asking them not to call and telling them that this phone number is used for  medical emergencies only.  and must be treated as such!
    Well, not withstansing,  they continue to call !
   I will try Robo.com and see if that helps.
So, the do not call list on the government website seems to be absolutely ineffective -      
   iIt  is time for something to be done about this problem! Congree seems ineffective, ao maybe phone carriers can be briught in to help?

We are on the do not call list as well and it does nothing to detour them

see if you can get "nomo-robo" .com . This free service bounces robo calls. That 877 pestered me even after telling them twice not to call; now that number rings once and gets bounced--must be pissing them off they can't get through.good luck

I told them "not to call me back" -- hope that works  LOL !! The man asks for someone who had the # like 4 years ago, then says "while I have you on the phone" --- I cut him off saying "NO YOU do not have me on the phone and don't call me back" and then just hung up.

"Is John there?" repeated two or three times. I answer NO and hang up.  Have not heard anything about charity calls or anything like that.  Would not give them anything anyhow. One more time they call, I call the FCC.

Folks, get a call forwrding system and forward the calls to this number, 202-456-1414. Obama will fix it!!

I'm beginning to think that the DO NOT CALL LIST is run by the same people who keep calling us.  I have submitted the same information over and over with no results.  It does no good to ask them to take your name off of their list.  I finally figured out that they are all one and the same scammers.  At the beginning of getting these calls I agreed to make a small donation.  What I noticed is that their invoices are one and the same.  Exact same layout, type face, etc.  When you go online and read the complaints from the organizations they are supposedly representing and the small amounts of money they actually receive you realize that this is all a scam and someone is getting rich off of these small organizations.  I just don't answer the phone and they just keep calling and it is going to stay that way until the FCC does the job they claim to do.  If I happen to answer one of these calls I tell them I know they are a scam and I will donate my money to my choice when I am good and ready to do so.  I then hang up.  And they still call back!!!!  Can you imagine how quiet life would be if all of these calls were stopped.  We'd think our telephone was out of order!!!

This number is also calling my home every day.  How do we get them to stop?

you  cant even tell them not to call they do anyway... and they have so many numbers you cant block them all it would cost you a fortune. I just quit answering 800 and 877 numbers with no name on them

These people are fund raisers for many charities.  They talk as if they know us by first name.  We do not want their calls to continue.

My husband answered the phone and the person said "Is this Steve?" he asked who is calling and they hang up. He calls the number back and the recording said something about law enforcement program and he hung up.

Maybe, if we all reported unwanted calls to the state Attorney General's Office.  The National Do Not Call Registry doesn't stop unwanted calls.  I'm going to try it.

I moved in with my elderly father to care for him 2 years ago.  He was giving his credit card number to anyone who said they were a charity.  After changing all his accounts and credit cards they are still calling.  I had to move my dad to a facility recently as he is very, very ill.  Now they are calling 5 to 10 times a day!  Sometimes they just hang up when I answer, others they ask for him by name, but telling them he no longer lives here hasn't stopped anything; like I said, it's only increased.  Preying on elderly people and bullying anyone with a call frequency like this is the lowest form of scum.  Add to that they tell me they're police collecting for some children's charity just makes it that uglier.  The police never ever solicit money over the phone!  I want this to stop.

I finally gave up and bought a call blocker. Have 28 numbers so far. Phone rings once and then quits. Nights are much quieter now...

no, they are wanna be scam (non)artists.

Call your phone service (Verizon, att, etc.) and ask them to block whatever numbers are harassing you and they will.  problems solved.

We get several calls a day from 877-241-8759. We never answer and the caller never leaves a message. The calls have come as early as 7 am and as late as 9 pm. Often we will get two calls just ten minutes apart. Don't these idiots ever give up? We can only hope.

these people call me sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. the person on the other end of the line acts very personable and addresses you by your first name. I have tried everything to get rid of them; including putting myself on the do not call list. The most recent call I told them they had the wrong number. Hopefully that will work. I'll keep everyone posted.

Stop these calls!

Multiple calls asking for my Husband, don't even know his gender apparently, or used plural 'they'... really annoyed, hang up too fast for DNC list to be activated...

Constant calls from the number and most of the time when I answer there is no one there.  I finally spoke to them...sales call..we are on the DO NOT CALL list and I told him and not to call here anymore.
Today there were 3 calls within 2 hours from this number.

this number also calls my home three to four times a day . You don't answer and they don't leave any message. Who know what's that number for ?

They call me everyday also.I just answer the phone with a foreign accent...lol
