I got a few calls from this number but I didn't call back.

I got a call too. At my mom's house stating that I owe them money. I just filed bankruptcy in July and haven't defaulted on any debts so I know I don't owe them anything. I tried to call them but all I get is the vm and it's full.

I got a call from 877-312-0822 caller id number is 843-576-4798. Called my neighbor!!!!! YEs my neighbor.  Left a message saying I was being taken to court.  I knew right away it was a scare tactic. I called and left a nasty message on a voicemail telling them to knock it off. I will keep calling them until they stop. I will also report to better business bureau.  Don't let them scare you, if you can't pay a bill than don't worry about it.  That's life a lot of people can't pay. Just do your best.

i got a call from this number 877-312-0822 with a message left on my answer machine at 2pm on Friday DEC 11,2009,saying that they were from a legal firm and that i owe a debt, which is true. In the message i was told that {civil} and {criminal charges} will be file against me for a {bad check }and also my license will be suspended in the state of Texas if i did not respond by Tuesday DEC 15.The person who will be filing these charges is attorney john nicolia. i believe that this is a scar tactic to receive payment from me for a debt that owe but its nothing that they can do but intimidated !

I received a similar call threatening lawsuit, bank record check etc. about someone I know but am not related to. They refused to say who they were, give me their address or discuss the case in any way and hung up on me. I called them back and said I did have inf. to give them about how to get in touch with the person. I have them a local number the told them to ask for the name of _______ at that number. Then I told Susan that the name and number I gave them was for the Attorney that represented the person they were looking for.

I was threatened to have my wages garnished and money taken from my bank acct. The womans name is Susan and she is harrassing me at work, when she does not reach me she dials random numbers to get connected to me. I need this to stop before I lose my job.

an "attorney" John Mccaulia called for my daughter who hasn't lived with me for 16 years insisting that she call back within 48 hours or papers would be filed with the court and an order of suspension of her driver's license would be attached.

these yahoos called on my personal mobile and my work mobile...same message left that alfalfa received...these people really need to get a real job and stop bothering people!

They purchase old (mostly worthless) debts for pennies on the dollar, call with threats, intimidation and lies about who they in an attempt to extort monies they may not legally be owed. I got an email from my ex-wife saying that she got a phone call for me from a Ms. Chapman at 1-877-312-0822 stating that a civil lawsuit had been filed against me and threatening to have my driver's license suspended -- plus something about bad check laws. Oddly, I have not had a checking account other than my HSA account for at least 6 or 7 years and was not aware that the penalty for bad checks was the loss of a drivers license.

So I called the number and got their answering service who answered as the John Nickolai Law Office and stated that Ms Chapman would not be in until today at 8:00 and asked where they could reach me.

This morning at 8:14, I got a call (on my voicemail) from Ms. Chapman -- introducing herself as simply "from an attorney's office" and that we needed to talk about this very critical matter. And once again gave the 1-877-312-0822 number.

The caller ID came up as an unknown name but a number of 1-843-718-0332 -- which on google is listed as a customer of Comcast in Charleston SC. although the John Nickolai Law Office is in New York.

I got a call today from these folks. They left a voicemail. They said the usual filing a case in my county. Something new though, they said they are sending letters to all our banks looking for assets and income. This is not my first voicemail from them. Number they told me to call.877-312-0822

They called my sister and told her that, again, they were going to file a petition with the court in my county and have my license suspended.  These people have called here using so many different alias' but they will not tell me who they are or what debt I am paying. They keeping giving me a reference letter and telling me to send them a money gram.

Its a scam trust me i know these people .. next time they call record them carefully ... and report them .. enough compliants to the better business bureau will put there scam company out of business ~! Trust me ..

I too receive calls from them and I when they threaten to take me to court, I tell them to do it and hang up.

I have received numerous calls from a Maryland number (843-793-4028) asking to call back this number 877-312-0822 about a debt that I owe. They claim to be an Attorney's office: John McCoyer (is what I think the message said). I spoke with a lady once. She said I was due in court the next week if i didn't make a lump sum payment.
FYI - for anyone concerned and being threatened by them about a court date.
My mom has worked in collections for years. She told me that "if I have not been served, I do not have a court date". I also believe it is a scam. I have not been able to find any information on the 877-312-0822 number or the office they claim to be.

Same people have been calling asking for an individual that I do not know. But left a message saying that their was a law suit and litigation filed at my local court house.

I have also recieved a few phone calls from them before...I have not responded. This has happened to me before and I ended up paying the company and they had to directly take it out of my bank account. and when the payments were supposed to stop they didnt. I had to close my bank account cause the numbers were all disconnected. Can anyone please help me and see if this is something legal I need to take care of or is this a scam?

I've just recently begun to receive calls from them using the exact same m.o. as marine1243. I've not talked to them directly, only listened to their voicemails. Not sure how to proceed with this.

I keep receiving these calls also. I googled the name and saw that others have taken THEM to court. They are a collection agency and they are using scare tactics.
I will investigate futher.

Someone just called my house looking for my little brother saying the same thing.  Were you able to get more information on the company.  I'm going to check them out with the FCC.  It sounds like a scam of some sorts.  The lady told me that she did a background check and that's how she got my number as one of his closest relatives.

This number is for EAM Easter Asset Mangement. They have been calling saying I owe a cc company money. And that also have a case pending in my county for a lawsuit if I dont make a lump sum payment of what they are asking. When I asked for the company that the cc was with they would not tell me.
