Was a real person. Said she had a one question about the upcoming election. I hung up on her.

No one there and it eventually goes into busy signal.

No on answers me.  I assume auto dialer telemarketing.   I do not want calls from this number!! Calls all day and evening!!

Called 3x in 2 days.  Did not answer.  No message left.  If they are surveying residents of Oregon, they have the wrong state with me.

These are political party surveys.......the government has nothing to do with it.

Number keeps calling

This is now happening in Colorado. Same motive. Call several times a day and night. They are really annoying. Blocking call does not help. They still keeping trying. Still think this is a scam. Don't know who these people are representing as I do not answer unknown calls.

This number calls every day, sometimes twice a day. Usually it rings 2-3 times and then hangs up. If I answer, no one is there. This is akin to mental torture!

Have received about 6 calls from this number in the past few days  , have a call blocker in place , picked it up this morning , the guy said this is survey with 4 questions , I stopped him , survey , telemarketer , all the same , told him not to call again that I am on the no call list, seriously doubt the Democratic or Republican party would use "800 services "  but Direct TV does , one reason we no longer have them( still getting calls from them)  ; I am very happy our government is now working on ways to fine or stop these  nuisance    callers;          I have a DIGITONE CALL BLOCKER , best $100 I ever spent  , still get over 100 of these types of calls a month , all of them are blocked , we should not have to put up with this , also now getting similar calls on my cell phone ( makes me want to do away with land line and cell phone )

Political survey.  I have gotten several of these calls.  They all claim to be four question surveys.  The first question was am I a Republican or Democrat.  Second was do I vote every election.  Third questions was do I always vote party line.  Fourth question was how excited am I about the upcoming election.  Subsequent calls have been variations on this theme but they usually ask me if I would vote for Cory Gardiner for Governor.  I assume these are funded by his committee and if you answer yes you'll be asked for a campaign contribution.  Other variations have asked me how conservative I am and how conservative I think Cory Gardiner is.  So it may also be a Tancredo poll since he's claiming to be the true conservative candidate.

If that is true, then it is pretty clear how the US politicians taking advantage of this British company's "service" feel about American jobs (and for that matter the privacy of information on American citizens - or even common courtesy for their constituents).  Do make sure and contact the campaign offices of those politicians who think this sort of behavior is a good idea to complain, and based upon response,  "reward" them accordingly at the ballot box.

3 rings and the jerks hung up just as I reached the top of the stairs to answer the phone.

This guy calls me and states he is with "SCO", a "International Social Organization".  He kept insisting that he ask me a couple of questions and I kept insisting he explain to me what an "International Social Organization" was.  When he wouldn't answer my question I told him to send me a letter.  He then ended the call.

this is a political survey company - they have been excluded from the "do not call" national database -  excluded by the same politicians who was supposedly "outraged" by these types of call, but yet they political calls are okay?   gotta love this country....

Rang once then they hung up.  CallerID's intentionally ambiguous tag says only "TOLL FREE CALL."  Called number back via Skype, recorded greeting identified them as an (also intentionally ambiguous I'm sure) acronym-named political survey company.  

Guess it's that time of year again -- time to shut off the ringer and the call forwarding until December so I can get some peace.  

Actually, I have a better idea.  I'm going to answer every one.  The campaign that calls me the most, loses.  

Received a call today at 1:39 pm.  Caller ID said from 800 services.  I did not answer, no msg left when I let it go to voice mail.  I do not answer any 800 phone calls.....EVER.   Nor do I take part in political serveys which from what I have read from other postings on this site this probably was.  They do not like my responses when they ask questions.  LOL

No one on phone. Says 800 Service, then uses the 877-318-7054.  Blocked now (but still rings once).

Constant calls for no reason at any time in the day. Has been occurring for a while now.  

These calls are from SCL Elections. They are all over the world.  They do press media and public relations.  They need to be shut down. They are from the UK.

Says they are the RSL Research; keep calling but have told them to stop.

Getting this call daily.  I don't care who it's from: It's both impolite and intrusive.  But that's what you expect from our political parties in today's world.  Nothing patriotic about any of them, the current administration or the rest of the politicians.  They have no clue about respecting someone's privacy.

Same call day after day.  no one on line.  they keep calling even when i will not pick up the  call.  just got another, third one in the past hour. how can a person stop this harassment?

Guy told me he was Mark Block and that he was a police office.  I was told I was under arrest.

I called that number and told them to stop the calls.  The guy told me Obama approves of them

Get calls from this number 10 to 15 times a day.   A lady asks for my mom who is 87 years old.  I tell not to call.  Then the same lady asks if I like the great job Obama is doing.  I then hang up.
