Bass & Associates - collection agency. From Tuscon, AZ. They have called my cell phone multiple times and have only left a message once. It said that they are from the Law offices of Bass & Associates, attempting to collect a debt. They do not say what the debt is. Another number that they use is 520-784-5916. Description from their website: Bass & Associates, P.C. is a nationwide, woman-owned collections and bankruptcy law firm that offers comprehensive, fully-coordinated debt recovery services to clients in the credit-granting industries.

A verbal cease and desist is not legally binding. You have to put it in writing with proof of delivery, which means an annoying trip to the post office. They may legally contact you only one more time after receipt of your letter and only to let you know they are stopping contact attempts. If they contact you for another reason or again after the last legal contact, then you have two options: report them to the FTC and you state's Attorney General, or sue them for violation of the FDCPA and they face a $1000.00 fine.

They continue to call my work after I told them to cease and desist. They have also called my mobile number.
I do not have any outstanding debts.

They call me saying that they are lawyers for Grand Canyon University. They told me they are calling me on behalf of Grand Canyon saying that I owe them $2000.00. I didn't know the schools get lawyers to handle situations like this. Also I do not owe the school $2000.00 I had withdraw and plus they kept my disbursements so I don't understand how I could owe them money. I told them to stop calling but they insist on calling.

These people somehow got my cell phone number. They are harassing me 3 times a day; everyday! Thanks for this link. Now I know who is calling. I still do not know why. Is this legal to call a cell like this?

Yep, Bass & Associates. You cannot return their call from this number, gets a recording. Their real number is 877-281-2224.
It is against the law for a company to have an unknown ID.
