I got a message on my phone at home and it said it was a urgent matter. When I call it the recording says it some credit place.
They leave a number to call but you cant get through to them. They even leave a extention and you cant get through to that. It keeps telling me it did not get my selection. The man says his name is Jim Cory and his extension is 5536.

forBill Smith, you sound like an employee of this place (something very common here, these companies get people to defend them on these boards and put down anyone posting anything they don't like)


I was THE VICTIM of a scam, lost thousands of dollars and took a major hit on my credit score and had these companies call ME for years, asking for money (for a debt which by then the company in question would have long written off).


The people working at/for these companies are the lowest of the low, berating you, cursing, talking to you in all sorts of abusive ways and calling several times every day (including evenings and weekends)

These companies buy off debts for literally pennies on the dollar and than have their minions call you for the money so they make their huge profits... the minions earn commissions off of each one they're able to tear down to the point they collect, with no regard to ethical business practice.

I even had one such maggot call me several times during my grandfathers funeral, not caring that I was at a funeral (let alone my grandfather's)
berating me with abusive language even then.


I even had one say "get $7,000.00 in 3 days and we can let the rest go, that's a bargain" what did she expect me to do? rob a bank??


That was when I was at an extremely low point in my life, having to decide between eating and paying into my debt to try to clear it slowly.

I've since gotten back on my feet and started a somewhat successful (still growing) business.

I interview all of the new applicants (not big enough just yet to give that duty to someone else) and one day I get an applicant whose name I remembered and from checking her resume, I see a company listed that also clearly remembered, she was out of a job, trying to pay bills and really looking for work (that should have sounded familiar to her)


I asked if she remembered someone named James O'Wrightly, a guy that got scammed out of almost every penny he owned, who was then being harassed constantly to pay money he was scammed out of, right back to those same companies.

I tore into her for her previous attitude and behavior and sent her out.

The reason I'm here? one of my close associates is being called by this company, he is in a very similar situation as mine was, he was the victim but is now putting up with abuse from these low lives

You know something....people run into trouble paying bills, etc. because of things like job losses, etc.  DON'T judge someone because they have a credit collection agency calling them about a debt matter.  YOU don't know why someone has run into trouble.  I've just started getting calls from this collection agency.....my situation is going from full-time employment to no employment, going to assistance when EI has run out and still no work found, to finally finding part-time work after 3 years (that early in the year, only gives me 12 hours per week at little more than minimum wage, gradually increases but is no where near what I earned full-time...meanwhile I keep looking for full-time work or another part-time job that would work with the schedule at this job, all with no luck), something has to give, and unfortunately it was the credit cards - keeping a roof over my head and my kid fed was a priority, not the credit card payments.  AND I've already talked to a trustee in bankruptcy, and he said as long as I can put up with their phone calls, I don't need to rush into anything just yet (bankruptcy will be the only option...interest just keeps building and the debt is exceeding even what I was making full-time) as I have no assets to be seized, very little in the bank (and they haven't figured out where I bank yet), nor have they figured out where I work in order to garnish wages.  I just hope you never run into a problem in your life that sets you back.

Kept getting missed calls on my cell phone to call 1-877-423-6543 wich apparently was an ontario number  with respect to an escalated bill for a person who I did not know. I got tired of the calls so I phoned the number and it was for some power bill agency. I asked the agent to remove my number because the individual they were looking for was not located at the number. The manager then blamed me for everything and directly said on the phone that "I don't think you're as innocent as you make your self out too be" EXCUSE ME? he went on and on how "spencer Doja" owes money. When again... THAT'S NOT MY F****NG NAME. The rudeness and inconsideratness was astounding. I'm 18..... I don't have bills. Go bother Someone else. For all I know they can go f*** them selves.

The phone number 877-663-5233 is a collection entity for Triple Services. Dean Becker said that i wrote a fraudulent check and owe them money.   I explained to Dean Becker that the claim is fraudulent and I have the FTC and NH Banking Commission looking into their claim.  I explained the details and he said to hold on while he checks.  I held on the line for 10 minutes before he hung up.  Don't let them bully you.

Fakename you sound like someone that doesn't pay their bills companies do not send your bills registered mail, I dealt with I.C.E. and made payment arrangements and now my debt is cleared up and nothing affected my credit report... Its unfortunate that people like you feel like you dont have to pay your bills, but then when you need services you complain that you can't get them. Heres a lesson for you PAY YOUR BILLS

I was also contacted by them regarding my Direct Energy account. The girl I spoke to (Naheed or something like that) was really helpful. I made arrangements with her and she said she will make sure my credit it not affected, which was really helpful since we just applied for a mortgage. I explained that it was a misunderstanding and she was extremely polite and professional. Really impressed!

Your business??? Why don't you just pay your bill. They've given YOU the business and you failed to pay for it!!!

I got a call from 877-423-6543.  Sounds like a scam.  I am probably sending the number to the police.  If legitimate companies really, really, really want to get ahold of me they can do so by registered mail.  Any company that uses a collection agency before direct contact with me would lose my business ASAP.

Legit collection agency and really helpful, Direct energy sent my bill to them ( said they couldn't get a hold of me) and she made sure that it didn't go on my credit report as long as I paid it and I did!

received two calls (one directly after the other). The first one was a recorded message and second one a person saying they had an "escalated claim" that needed to be discussed.  Woman couldn't even pronounce my name.  Left number 1-877-423-6543 ext 4355 for urgent callback.  Not sure if I should call as I know nothing about any claim against me or what it could be for.  Googled the number and it is registered to a scaffolding company in New York.

Received what sounds like a somewhat recorded message with pauses at certain times indicating they have recorded informatio pertaining to my SIN. Asked to call back a Bob Wilson at 877-423-6543 ext. 4375. Also included a registered reference number.
