Re:  Card Services...  They've been calling me for over 2 years.  I've repeatedly reported them to the Do Not Call registery and the Feds to no avail.  If I ask to be removed from their call list they simply hang up on me.  My patience has finally worn out so I've adopted a new theory.... I have an AIR HORN.  I press 1 and when they answer ....  HONK!!!!  I started that at the beginning of Feb and the last call I've received was Feb 27.

These people have been calling me for well over a year now. I have asked for my name to be removed from their list (they hung up on me) and I have pressed the option button to be removed from their list (I've done this more times than I can count). Message is always the same regarding lowering my credit card interest rate. I typically let the machine answer or if I answer, I hang up. The most annoying part is that they call when the kids are napping and they wake them up. More than anything, I wish the phone company had a reliable call blocking system.

My story is the same as yours. I'm not sure what they are expecting to gain by these continued calls to people who want nothing to do w/ them.

REPEATED phone calls from this scam company - Credit Card Services. Once asked which credit card they are with and they hung up. Same as others, Robocall saying this is your Last Chance to lower your interest rates. Tired of these peaks!!!

So annoying. The recording says this is your second and final notice to lower your interest rates. They have I bet said that 50 times in past year. I don't have a credit card and never have. I use a Visa check card which comes out of my bank account the instant it is used. Maybe they will give up sometime. Which I doubt.

Credit card scam - lower interest rates. Almost the same recording as from several other numbers. My CID only said "Toll Free", with nothing else. I pressed "9" to get to a person, when she (in this case) answered, I said "Remove my number from your calling list". She hung up before I finished. The law says they have to remove you if you request it. But, as she hung up, they can claim they never heard my request.

The DNC list is not voluntary, it is the law. But, the FTC doesn't seem to do anything about it. Not enforced, so the scams go on.

Please immediately report each and every one of these illegal robo scam calls that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.

You can gripe that it doesn't work, but they cannot do anything about it until and unless we report it!

Credit card scammer, has called twice this morning. I push 1 and lay the phone down, second time I set it next to the stereo speaker playing loud headbanger music. If nothing else it wastes their time since I am sure they have a quota to fill.

My phone company's "No Solicitation" service intercepts these calls after one ring.  It's a good service to have, but it still gets annoying when these scammers call nearly every day for over two years.

March 2012 Update: Well it appears mentioning that there is a number of folks here complaining about 1-877-444-2200 and passing on the details from my earlier posting here in detail to the GOV Do Not Call Registry - Complaint Line quieted down and/or eliminated calls from 1-877-444-2200.

Several weeks later a slightly different, but worded just about the same message comes in from 503-902-3477 (lookup and check that one out on this forum 800notes). I'm going to include that in a new message to the GOV Do Not Call Registry - Complaint Line at:

https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2

Yes you can ignore the calls, and hang up which wont really do anything since its a robot that called you. Picking up and hanging up unfortunately acknowledges or reports to the phone system that someone at that location answered the phone prompting more calls. Listing the complaint here is good feed back for all of us. But as much as some of us would want to say that the Do Not Call Registry didn't work for them it's illegal activities by these venders and loop holes, and no word of filed complaints that cause them to get away with it. Try using the Gov Do Not Call Reg Complaint site listed above, Seems to have worked for me and enough complaints will not only stop them from calling you but then escalate it up to the Atterny Generals Office where much stiffer fines, penalties, and actions await.

Good Luck Everyone !

They called me today and said:

"This is a second and final call to lower your credit card monthly payment" blah, blah, blah,
I just hung up.  I don't have a credit card.  THIS IS A BIG SCAM.  We should report it to government.
I'm going to do it.

Called my home, which is on federal do-not-call list. This is that same old credit card interest rate reduction scam, robodialer that tells you to press 1 to lower your interest rates, 2 to "be removed" (yeah, right, try double the calls, now that they know it's an answered number).
What number they call from is really irrelevant, as I get a call from this outfit several times per week, and it's never the same caller number, and seldom even in the same state. Sadly, at this point it's entirely legal to deliver a totally bogus calling number and calling name to the network (called ANI spoofing). Until this is rectified, and carriers are held accountable to ensure their customers are delivering only ANIs associated with their billing accounts, enforcement is impossible and complaints are useless. The technology to do this exists; the will does not.
Until we demand that our representatives act to eliminate ANI spoofing, the do-not-call list and restrictions on unwanted telemarketing are a joke, and the criminals who make their living this way are laughing at us.

They called today, and left a message.......".lower credit card rates".  I don't need to lower rates, I never carry a balance!
Obviously DO NOT CALL means nothing to these shysters. All phone services can and should all give us the tools to combat these harassing calls.......but that would mean less revenue for the phone companies!  They're not going to help us, unless we are willing to open our wallets again for "optional services"..............

The best advice I can give you, and it's not a 100% guarantee, cuz they still call me, but call your own credit card company and ask them to not call you about lowering your rates.  That's all I can say.

OMG something spoken so fast you have to listen to the machine multiple times to figure out its a press 1 or press 2 if you want to opt out.  Never answer these things but this one was like speed talking thats a new one.
