- same happended to me - Help4Window SCAM - I asked him to not call any more :(.

Edwin called my Mother. He had a Indian accent & wanted to fix her computer. He somehow got access to her desktop & had her read his pasord. Wanted $300 to fix computer. Thats when she called me. New spyware & anti virus will be installed soon. These guys are most likely out of India & are looking for a quick buck

I got the same call from two Indian men (thick accent) stating my comuter had isues & they could fix them. They were able to gain access to my computer. Wanted $200 to fix. I dial this number & got another Indian. Thay are nothing but 2-bit hackers looking for a quick buck!

Just got a call from a man ("Shaun Stuart") with a very thick East Indian accent.  Said he was with Microsoft and can help fix my computer.  He said they are receiving messages that my computer is infected with hidden viruses, but not to worry he can fix it if I get on the internet.  When I insisted on a number to verify his story, he gave me 877-491-0562.  My computer is not running slow, we have virus protection on it, and how do they know which computer is having a problem as we have more than one?!  Thanks for your post, Jim!  I'm even more convinced this is a scam!

This person has called my mother 3 times and gave her this number 1-877-491-0562  he said his name is Shanestewart all one word.  I tried calling him back and he or she, I couldn't tell has a severe indian accent.  There was a lot of honk blowing in the background which really made me suspicious.  He said he was with Microsoft and that our computers were sending out message that we had multiple viruses.

Received unsolicited call from an Indian man with thick accent telling me he was with Windows Support and they were getting 'many error messages' from my computer and the files were corrupted and my computer was going to crash.  "you have many viruses". This was all very fishy. I pressed for a phone number to call him back and got 877-491-0562.  Said his name was Steve Johnson. Told him I was going to call Microsoft to verify he was for real, but that all of this was very irregular. He said Microsoft doesn't handle these calls and has directed his firm to handle them. I ended the call.

Add (Albert -- Indian or Oriental accent) 1-877-491-0562 to equate to this same the Call-Story as above.   5 or 6 call in 3 or 4 days -- with a hangup-upon him by me 5 of the 6 (4 of the 4) times.  Said that his website was help4window.us  (note the window is singular the operating system by Microsoft is Windows (plural).   I do not have Caller ID so the number above is the number he gave me is the number on which to call him back, the the number on a caller ID.

Once he called back right after a hang-up by me and ask "why did you hang up on me".

Real phone numbers or not, put 1-877-491-0562 and 02 8005 4980 into the same dirty bucket.

Got the same call from the guy with the accent. said his name was Shawn Stewart, same story other than he told my wife he was with Microsoft tech support. Seems unlikely to me?

I got the call, and I asked which machine is having trouble because I have six machines... He said it is a windows xp that was having trouble.  I told then I don't have  a window xp. He said you have mac, I said no, I have unix.  huh.  actually I have win7 and vista.

I got the same "Indian guy" who called for telling me the same story, my cumputer was seding several alarms.  
He wanted me to download "free ammyy" so he could show me the problem and fix it.
I ask their phone number which is 1-877-491-0562.
Nobody knows at this?

I received a call at 6 pm from a guy with an indian accent. Could barely understand him. He said that the company Windows toad? or something like that kept on receiving error messages from my computer. He asked me if my computer was on and if not to turn it on if I wanted to resolve the problem. I asked for his number and said i was having supper. He insisted i turn on my computer to resolve the problem. He said his name was steve johnson and i said he didn't sound like a steve johnson with his heavy accent. He ended up hanging up.
