Called my workplace 3 times so far today and no answer for any of the times they called. Just dead air and hang ups. I checked another website like this and it's a bunch of the same. Other webby says that it's a spammer saying they're Verizon. A third of the others said they talked to their Verizon people and Verizons says it's spammers and to not give out your info.  Another third said they were trying to "Get their business back!" when they'd not left Verizon at all and the last third got dead air hangups.

called about "credit card services" for my business. I hung up after saying no thank you and he was still talking as I set the phone down!

This does not even sound legit. The Fed's are listening to their calls? i work in a call center, and that DOES not happen. not to mention it is illegal, w/o a warrant to listen to people (the recipient, in your post). This is laughable, and i question if it isn't the scammers using this number posting it.

Some say these calls are fron Verizon and they are Ok but their not OK even if from Verizon because they are harassing people like me and you. I suspect the person who posted that note works for Verizon. We now live in the "DON'T CARE SOCIETY" - that mean NO SELF RESPONBILITY.

HAVE BEEN GETTING CALLS FROM THESE PEOPLE EVERY SINCE I CHANGED SERVICE, ANSWERED FIRST TIME, THEY WANTED TO KNOW WHAT THEY COULD  DO TO GET MY BUSINESS BACK  TOLD THEM HALF OF WHAT I WAS PAYING  AND FREE LON DISTANCE  AND I'D CONSIDER IT, THEY COULDN'T DO THAT  SO TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL BACK.
GET 1 OR 2 CALLS  A WEEK FROM THEM. DON'T ANSWER ANYMORE.  CONSIDERING PICKING UP AND START PRESSING  THE * KEY REPEATEDLY, I'M TOLD  IT TELLS THERE COMPUTER THE LINE HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED AND NOLONGER IN USE, GUESS IT CAN'T HURT WORST GIVE SOMEONE A SORE EAR  FOR A BIT  BEST  WOULD BE  THEY QUIT CALLING

same number here.... calls and hangs up.  called back and tried option 1... nothing happens.  tried option 2 and they want you to leave your name,number and reason for calling and a rep will call back.. NOT!

Verizon calling to try to win business back.

This number has been harassing me for a very long time.  I never answer calls I can not identify in my Caller ID.  Some messages here say it is Verizon trying to get business back but Verizon says it is not Verizon calling and this number should not be trusted.

this number calls everyday and there is no one on the line. I called the number back and get an answering machine for Verizon. I've told the machine not to call my number and to take my nuimber off the calling list and they still call. ANGRY!

we are getting calls from this number everyday.  We are going to report to our state attorney generals office.  You do the same.  We should bring a class action law suit against this number and/or this company.

Called four times in the last hour. They may be from Verizon but they are not directly employed by them. I called Verizon and they said to not trust this number since they are not directly involved with them.

They call periodically. I use a Caller ID and do not answer any call I can not identify.  This method will greatly reduces SPAM calls but not eliminate them. I get two or three a day even though I'm on the DNC List.

Called the number back and it said Verizon.  They do not leave a message. Annoying.

Says they are verizon...offering a $100 AmX gift card.  Total sales pitch...we told our rep about them and she said to hang up.  Do not deal with them.

received 888-223-2355 - didn't leave message; I didn't call back!   Am disputing a charge to my cc account on a call that I may have called back last week.......we shall see what is going on!

Wanted to see if Verizon could get our service back...well we never left!  After touching base with our "real" verizon rep, she stated that it was a "spam" type of a call.  Not to tell them anything and hang up.  We have not heard back...do not tell them anything.

Calls from 888-223-2355 are ok. It is Verizon WAP (I don't know what WAP stands for), but this IS Verizon checking on an installation date for my new Verizon Fios order, and anything else from this No. is ligitmite. Please just be patiant and talk to them, this dept is not sales I asked the lady and she tells me she is not sales, she didn't have a shread of sales in her. So if you or any one get calls from this No. just say "Hello!, Hello!" and talk to them, if you do this a connection will be made and you can tell them they have a wrong number, or if you have a pending Fios order, that's what it is, or to just stop calling,  which they must do. All calls are being recorded and the feds randomly check these calls and if they hear these centers do not respect the wishes of recipiants, they will get in big time trouble. I know it's a PIA, but just take a moment and talk to them, you'll get rid on them if you want to. Take care.

I've been receiving calls from these a***oles daily. I never answer the telephone. They never leave a message. Thank God for caller ID! Although I'm on the do not call registry, they keep calling. Very Annoying!

No response, the caller just hangs up.

Getting calls from this number every day.  I let it go to voicemail since I don't recognize the number.  Whomever it is that's calling NEVER leaves a message.

I also got a call from 888-223-2355.  I could hear noise in the background and music went on and off once.  I called back it was Verizon who is my local provider.
