Called this morning and left no message.

This company continues to call and leave a message for some guy I do not know. This is a computerized Jon-published number they are calling.

Calvalry Portfolio.  No idea who this guy is they are trying to reach.  They claim they will remove you from their call list when you tell them they have the wrong number, but it's a lie.  Only solution is to keep blocking all their numbers.  So annoying.

i just got a call from this number, i answered even if it's unknown as i'm waiting to hear about a job. anyway, the caller was asking for me, when i asked what the call was about and where she was calling from, she just kept repeating "my name is fatima(sp?), is ???? available. i didn't know what to do, so i said see if she's available, and when i was trying to figure what to do, she hung up.

They call me at least twice a week, no message, Don't know the number...won't answer. White pages just says landline, no carrier information, no state information, no nothing, Seems like a spoofed number to me

They call me 12-12 13- the number that appears on my phone is 1-888-229-6008  that is exactly how it shows up on my caller ID....so the phone is in my son name they asked me to verify the last 4 digit of ssn to colecte a debt from my son.

Ducks -- It's not that easy.
I had to go through the process below to FINALLY get a debt collector to stop calling.
They were calling for MONTHS after I got this phone number, looking for the person who previous had this number.
Just telling them that I had just gotten the number and the person is not at this number was not good enough to make them stop.

Tell them that the person they are trying to call is not at that number, period.
DO NOT provide your name, number, or any information to them.
Tell them you've written their name, time, and date down and they are not to call you back.
If you want to go one step further, call them back.
Ask for the name of the person who answers.  Ask for a manager.
Get the manager's name.
Tell the manager the same thing -- the person you are trying to call is NOT at this number.  I have written down your name, the date, and time.  Do not call again.

Get their name and the company name.
Tell them that the person they are trying to call is not at that number, period.
DO NOT provide your name, number, or any information to them.
Tell them you've written their name, time, and date down and they are not to call you back.
If you want to go one step further, call them back.
Ask for the name of the person who answers.  Ask for a manager.

They won't call again.  If they do, repeat process.  You can then take them to court with your diary of their harassment and win a judgement.

A woman named annet contacted me from this number to find my father. This is MY personal cellphone number not my fathers.

I am f'ing sick and f'ing tired of Cavalry Portfolio Services, I wish they would go play in rush hour traffic, they are f'ing relentless and rather harrassing. If what everyone above says is accurate and it Cavalry Portfolio Services, then they can kiss my butt because right now I only make about $50 every other week during football season and rely on charity for my daily needs.

Called my work phone, when I picked up there was silence.

They called my eleven year olds cell phone twice within a minute! I am glad I taught him to never pick up the phone unless he recognizes the number!

This number is Calvary Portfolio Collection Agency, They are supposedly located in Florida and have been sued multiple times for violating The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Has called a number of times.  I do not answer unknown callers, but it is a bummer to be awakened in the morning by this caller ringing the phone.

Got a call tonight from 800 service 888-229-6008 (as it appears on phone) & I got one yesterday. Tonight, I answered & they have the wrong #, apparently for the guy who USED to have our phone #. Then she says she "has to inform me that all calls are being recorded and is an attempt to collect a debt". When I asked her WHY they were being recorded when they have the wrong #, she stated "we record all of our calls" and said "we will remove the #". (We shall see)

This number has been calling day , night and early morning. They leave no message ever. Answered a couple of times and got no response. Seems like they call or dial several numbers and take the first one who answers.When I did answer and talked to one, he became arrogant and put his "supervisor" on line with me. He was more arrogant and aggressive than the first. I just hung up and they called back to back about 20-30 times to harass. Wish I could block them.

888 229-6008 called and did not ask for anyone but said, "My name is Ashley and this call may be monitored or recorded", etc. I told her, No, I do not agree to being recorded. What do you want?" She hung up. I just got this new phone number and have been inundated with collection calls. Thanks Dave for posting video.

Annoying "debt collectors" who keep looking for a Mrs. Thomas after I've told them THREE times I don't know her. I just ask them to please hold while I go look for her and just leave them on hold till they hang up. If they want to waste your time then you have every right to waste theirs.

I have been receiving calls from a lot of different/odd numbers lately this being one of them.  I have had it, so now I answer my phone by saying "BANNING POLICE DEPARTMENT, HOW MAY I DIRECT YOUR CALL?"  Apparently it's not what they want to hear.  I haven't got any call backs.  Problem solved?  We will see!

They have been after me for years!  How they get my cell mber is beyond me!  I don't have a message on my cell so tney never leave a message.  They call me almost every day and must think that will be stupid enough to not know they use a different number each time!  Isn't there a statue of limitations on this crap?

Do not even answer this number.  Called at 8am this morning, and  I think they are using several different phone numbers, as they are all looking for the same person, Eric..Y..... and have been looking for him since I have had my phone.  Which, by the way has been over 10 years now.
