I don't know who they are, but wish this would stop.

husband just recieved a text to his cell and it was from coconino FCU.org to call immediatley that our account was being restricted. We don't have an account with them and when I placed a call from another Phone I cont a recording saying the Fcu was temperarly out of service.

This number keeps trying to get my credit card number

This happened to me 3 times in one day! I do not even have text messaging pkg on my phone!

I just got a message from a supposed Franklin Bank in the 512 area-code claiming that my card has been temporarily disabled. (Austin, TX). I don't have a bank account with these people. I called the number on my land line--it has been "disconnected or is no longer in servic." How do we report these people?

The text mesage also was sent to my mom and my sisters phone on the same day at different times. Being sent to my little sister is strange because she's really young and doesn't use her phone for anything so no one should have her number.

Then I just got another one about half an hour ago.

My mom called out credit union and said there's a lot of people getting phone calls. They also got a notice from their insurance company that its happening all over the country. Not sure where they are getting the numbers and all 3 of us are on the donotcall.gov list.

I've received 3 texts from mobile@bankfranklin.com stating that my account was locked and that I needed to contact immediately at 512.366.7959.  I called and got garbled female robotic voice saying it was Franklin Bank security and due to too much fraud, it suspended my account and to press 1.  I didn't go any further...

I just received a text that said that my ATM card has been suspended and that I need to call 888-874-9525 to reactivate it. The message showed up as coming from 5000. I reported it to the bank.

it was text messge from 3599 telling me to call them immediately  regarding the recent restrictions placed on my account.

I don't know this people!!!! and the number that they gave me was disconnected when I tried calling...STUPID low lifes!!!

I rcvd a call also from this number stating that I needed to call them to remove a restriction placed on my account and they even used Credit Union N.A. in the notice.  Someone needs to stop them.

Same here with a 877 294 1732 number and yesterday with a 877 260 1642 number.  I have never had an account with Franklin Bank

I called this number and it rings once and then stops responding. Is this some scam ? I read some comments by ther users and looks like a scam ..can you please Ban this number ?

I just received a text message on my cell phone from this number as well.  It did not say it was from a bank.  It stated it was from banetele.no.  The text came from 3521, not an entire phone number! I looked up banetele and it was a company in Europe. When I typed this message in Google, this site came up! I am so relieved.  I contacted my own bank to make sure there hadn't been any fraudulent activity.  When I attempted to call the 800 number, 1-888-257-9250 (from a landline not my cell that the message came to) and it just made a series of rapid beeps and disconnected.

The above message was sent to my cell phone at or around 6:15PM Eastern Standard Time.  As far as caller ID and Caller Company and type, the only thing given was that which was in the above message.

I have no account with this ?bank? and I immediately looked it up on the computer and found this site.  Thanks everyone for posting!  I have had major identity theft before and am still paying the price for all that was stolen from me.  BEWARE! THIS IS A SCAM TO GET YOUR BANKING AND CREDIT CARD INFORMATION SO THAT THEY CAN STEAL FROM YOU!  DO NOT REPLY, JUST REPORT THIS NUMBER TO THE ABOVE ADDRESS SO THAT THEY CAN BE STOPPED!.

My husband received a text msg from them saying "your account has been put on hold with the credit union please contact us." Same thing no answer. I just got the same text on my cell phone 10 minutes ago. 888-257-9250.

I just got one too.  The # in my inbox says 3958...then it says

I also called it from a land line at work, and it says it is not in service.

I don't know what Banatele is and I do not work w/ any credit unions and I'd like to think this is just someone trying to scam me (not gonna fall for it) but at the same time I do want to look into it, in case someone opened something in my name and I'm not aware of it!

I just got the same text. I googled the number and found this site. I then googled Franklin Bank SSB and found another site that warns of phishing scams. It advises to email alert@fdic.gov if you receive one of these.

Of course, YOU SHOULD NOT CALL THEM and if you do, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY ACCOUNT INFORMATION.

Now they are using "there is a restriction on your Credit Union account."  When I called it from a landline, it just rang busy.  They originally called on my cell phone

Don't know who these people are, but I just spent 5 cents to get that text, and I hope I don't get anymore.

Got a text message saying to call immediately regarding a restriction placed on my account.  Name came up as Credit Union NA, not Franklin Bank this time.  Did not bother to call back, just googled the number & saw all the posts.

scummers got me received the same text as everyone else, however mine said 8882579250@banetele.no// credit union n.a. please call us immediately at 888-257-9250 regarding recent restriction placed on your account. thank you..... but the phone number is disconnected  i hope these guys get banged in the head with hammers
