Same card here in Michigan. Number is 888-446-6136. These are always scams. Nothing is ever given for free. My dad always says, if you didn't go looking for it, don't buy it or believe it. LOL This card will be going in the recycling bin.

I got that postcard too. Figured it was too good to be true, but did some Googling to make sure. And OF COURSE it did turn out to be a scam, which apparently has been around for years. Read this link if you want one person's experience with it. Interesting reading:

So we went: The pitch was for a travel club called Preferred Worldwide Travel. We did not buy and low and behold when we were to receive our prize they had "run out" and instead we got a promise that they would mail them to us and an 800 number to call if we had any problems if they did not arrive in a couple weeks. I'm sure that well have to call and if we do actually get to someone I'm sure there will be fees or something to pay to have the prize package mailed. The whole thing is a total ripoff. Out of curiosity I tried to find Preferred Worldwide Travel's website and not only can I not find a website for the travel club, I cannot even find them listed as a business anywhere. They have a strong presentation put together and some of the other couples in the room seemed interested and look like they were moving forward to buy in. I am now really feeling sorry for them and angry that they are taking advantage of people.

We are in Baltimore too. My wife called the number and same thing: you have to go to a 1 1/2 hour sales presentation at the Ramanda. My wife they said they guarantee the prizes as long as you show and stay through the presentation. My wife wants to do it. Whatever they are selling I won't be buying and I'll post if we actually get the prizes.

Got similar postcard, this time with a callback number 1-877-922-2330, could only trace number to a defunct bank. They must keep changing it to make tracing it back more difficult. Got sleaze written all over it.

I received the same postcard. The phone number on mine is 1-866-743-9127. I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I called the phone number. It's a scam to get you to sit through a sales pitch for a travel club. They asked me to come to the Best Western Plus in Towson, Maryland. It sounded good. I'm not going to follow through. It has scam written all over it. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Jen 2012-11-27 01:22:54 Unknown
Wow. I knew this had to be fake. Quick search on the net led to not only this page but countless complaints about the scam AND priceline. I won't even bother calling the number. Nothing is free.
I think I'm going to pack my postcard in an envelope and mail it to my congressman. WHY don't we have any regulation on this BS?
Steve 2012-11-05 14:29:24 Unknown
I got a card also did you call them
Ed 2012-11-02 19:58:05 Unknown
It absolutely IS a scam to get you to spend $$$ on a high priced traveller's club for a low class free trip.
Read this article at: http://brianmorristech.com/?p=808
where he describes how the same card was used with Delta's logo and name, along with many others. His link to the BBB is extremely informative.
( http://www.bbb.org/tucson/business-reviews/tr ... son-az-20007983 Southwest was another of this company's targets/aliases.)
Reading through the comments I saw all the same story but different airlines and phone numbers... otherwise, all the same info printed in exactly the same "form document" on a card.

Must be a scam; I got his card too. The whole thing sounds strange. This is the second "free gift"/award notification I've gotten in the past month from an address in Florida. The first one made it look like I'd purchased something and they were sending jewelry as a 'thank you'. I hadn't bought anything but I checked all my accounts anyway. Thankfully didn't find any weird activity. Have a feeling if I had called the number there would have ended up being weird stuff go on. Sent that back. Will NOT be calling this number - probably looking for some ignoramus to give them a credit card number they can rip off.
