I'm not sure how they get your address, but with information so easy to get these days, they could have gotten it off google etc...the same place where I learned of this turd "company".

They called me one time and now they sent me a post card to show me how much they care.  

Ignore it and likely nothing will happen...except for them getting really lonely.  I'm sure they get sad reading this hate mail.

I got their card in the mail, thought it looked very fishy, man was i ever right. thank god i checked it up (not that i would ever call). How the hell did they get our address?

hey i just did what u did..i did received. a yellow card today i called the first time and i kept asking them questions as they asked me. i never gave out any info. they asked me what i am inserted in a trip a 25,000$ or a new car. and i said NONE i am not interested in anything. and so i was pass over to another guys talking about a magazine. i kept replying and saying HUH? then He repeats himself and i would reply WHAT, huh? what? like 3x i did that and one thing you know they hung up on me.. so i got a bit nervous so i Google more of that this F.C.R. thing and i saw this site. i read your post so i did the same thing, i called them 3x and hung up every time they answered AND I hung up again. my number is private like that matters anyhow, so the last time i called i used some's control number(THAT WAS ON THIS SITE) not mine,WHEN HE SAID MY NAME(ACTUALLY NOT MINES)SOME NAME ALEXANDRA, AND I JUST AGREED, THAT THAT WAS ME.(I ALSO THINK ITS FUNNY HOW THEY DONT ASKED FOR YOUR NAME. THEY JUST SAY IT, AND ASKED FOR THE CONTROL NUMBER#) but then i kept asking him guy name NATE, questions, like how did you get my name in your list? he explains, and so i would ASK another question, like how did you guys get my address? and he would say its probably  some pizza hutt coupons or somethings i had ordered and had my name, and i am in one of there top 100 random people's list/ he told me he doesn't know any personal info about me so he cant tell me how and what i am qualified for, so i told him well you know my address and my name ISN'T THAT MY PERSONAL INFO, WHEN I NEVER GAVE IT OUT TO ANY OF YOUR COMPANY NOR I HAVE SUBSCRIBE FOR A MAGAZINE, SO HOW IS THAT? HE STARTED GETTING LOUD WITH ME. SO I ASKED ANOTHER QUESTION, AND MY QUESTION WAS, IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN HAVE MY NAME OF YOUR LIST THEN?? AND ONE THING YOU KNOW HE "NATE" JUST HUNG UP ON ME.. I THINK SO FUNNY HOW THEY CANT GIVE OUT ACCURATE ANSWER NOR WAS PROFESSIONAL ENOUGH AND JUST RUDELY HANG UP BECAUSE HE/SHE CANT TAKE THE QUESTIONS. NOW THEY ARE IDIOTS..... THEY ARE SCAMMERS THEY ARE STUPID.. AND PEOPLE WHO GIVES OUT THERE INFO. SHOULD REALLY BE SMART ENOUGH TO REALLY THINK TWICE.. ESPECIALLY NOW THIS DAYS.....

I just got one of these cards today, and I am glad you guys have reported this on here! I read through the comments and I don't think it's through magazines cause I haven't applied for any. I wish I could figure out how they got my info...I've been at this address for not even 3 months....grrr!

so i did some research and came to the conclusion that this company works with clearing house to subscribe magazines. So if for some reason you have ever signed up to clearing house then there is a high possibility that this is how they found your information. In the past I did get magazines from a site like this and it cost me nearly a thousand dollars over a three year period......wow huh. I've learned thats it's cheaper and neater to only get the magazines you really need and plan on reading from the store....

I got a card from the Family Reading Club and ordered some magazines and have not had any problems. Why does everyone have to complain?

I did not receive a call-but, a yellow postcard like everyone else.  The phone # on it is 1-888-673-5221.  Control #0905044909 Thanks Michelle Barbaa.  I did what "El Paso again" suggested, I returned it with "Return to Sender" on the front and "Not interested in a Scam" on the back.  That did not work--I received it back in the mail the very next day.  I tried calling the Better Business Bureau in our area, but of course could not get in touch with anyone. If I was doing this and scamming folks, they would put me under the jail.  I have no use for people that don't know how to make an honest living.  But, believe me, if they don't get their just rewards here on earth, they will the day they stand before their Maker!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah the card is a big hunk of crap invented by SCAMMER for the Dumb Just Say No!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup, exact same thing here. Got a yellow postcard and had all the same info as previous posts, of course with my name on it. Decided to research online as my wife suggested and stumbled across this site. Thanks for the help and sorry to the people who fell for it before researching it. Lesson learned: "If you get something in the mail or over the phone from out of the blue, be weary! Especially in today's world where everyone is trying to hustle everyone." We also need to figure out how we can stop this or who we can talk to about it because these people need to be persecuted accordingly. Thanks for the help to everyone though!

So i just called them to see what it was all about.  and it's pretty funny it's really easy to piss them off.  they say they have been running sweepstakes for 18 years and when you ask where the results are published they can not answer and they say how credible they are and then you ask them about why they change there phone number so much again no answer.  they will offer you the world, but i think they just take yours. ask them enough questions they get pissed don't know what to say and then put you on hold so you can talk to a superviser, which never answers.

So has anybody actually got scammed because it sounds like everyone on here diverted a scam by removing money first?  I wanted to call just to see who was behind the great marketing scheme.  But anybody that is stupid enough to give out there info disserves exactly what they get.  Quit being so gullible you idiots!!!

I was dumb enough to give out valuable info. i only gave my school card number but i quickly took all the money out.

I'm sure it was a good watch.  I'm sure it was one you get out of the bottom of a cracker jack box.  Yeah I got a postcard from them too and I threw it in a big stinking pile of cr@p where it belongs.  It said "Good News!"  More like "Good News, there is an exciting offer, but you'll have to give us your Social, Credit Card, Driver's license number, birth certificate, last time you went to the bathroom, the number of cells that make up your body, etc."  Yeah F.R.C stands for F'in scam. I'm sure sure they're nice people.  Also sir, I must comment that your English is wonderful and the all caps thing really got my attention.  It's like reading an old time wire gram.

No call just the typical yellow post card.  I guess Ill burn it with the rest of the junk mail I get... how do they get my name?

Family Readers Club just happens to be in clearwater Fla. as well.

I plan on sending the card back to them. I wrote Return to Sender on the front, then on the back (where the letter is) I wrote "Not interested in a SCAM!" across the bottom and "SCAM!!" at the top.


Maybe every one who gets this should do it, and see how they like it.

Same story...My husband got the yellow postcard in the mail. He called them to see what it was. The woman insisted he was already a customer. They offered lots of stuff including a $50 gas card but wouldn't say what it was for. She then transfered him to somebody else who offered him a $100 gas card. She then told him she needed his credit card number for a $1.99 fee to ship out all the stuff. He told her he doesn't give that out over the phone and she started screaming and swearing at him.

I also got a postcard and I noticed that they used my maiden name. I have changed all my information with everyone except the place I bought my car. They are the only ones that have my new address with my old name. I am wondering if anyone else who bought a car in the past 5 years has gotten one of these cars or if it is just a coincidence. I don't know if this is a scam but I wouldn't give out any personal information to anyone over the phone. I won't even give my social to the doctors office over the phone, unless I called them. The way I see it if they are sending out free items they can also pay the shipping and handling.
