1:30 AM automated message from this number although we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST! GRRR

Have received three calls by the same digitized caller indicating my debit Master Card had been compromised.  Caller ID for first call was "UNKNOWN", second ID was "0000000000", and finally "888-997-1234". Police Dept. indicated this call was a federal crime.

This showed up on my phone as a missed call. They are obviously still at the scam game in mid-July 2013.

I got a call from this phone number around 10:30 am eastern time, today. They didn't leave a message nor did I attempt to call them back.

Received this call at 12:15 AM. Robo all saying my information is secure and to press a key to go to activation. Now I can't get back to sleep.

I got a phone call from this number at 12:24 this morning stating that my MasterCard had been compromised and to press 1 for information.  Upon doing this they wanted to know my credit card number.  I hung  up at that point.  Tried to call the phone number back when I got up and got a recording that this number was unreachable from my calling area.

Same here. Called my Bank and they said they would never call us like that. I hate when others try to steal hard working folks money. They need a real job.

Called me at midnight. Left a message saying my credit card had something wrong with it. This is one of those scams trying to get the pins from peoples cards.

Received a call from this number. Mine is a pre-paid phone and costs me minutes every time they call. They did not leave a message. Glad I checked the number out, I won't be scammed.

two days in a row. leaves no message. but I don't answer numbers I don't recognize. so I got on internet to see where the number is coming from.. found you guys and confirmed my thoughts that it is scammers... thanks for posting..

I GOT THE SAME CALL AT 2:37 AM! --- THAT IS TOTALLY WRONG. THANKS FOR EVERONES INPUT, I ALWAYS WORRY WITH A CALL AT THAT TIME OF THE MORNING.

I received a phone call from this number at 1:30a.m.- didn't answer and attempted to call it back this morning from a land line phone, just a fast busy signal. thankful for this site and the info left!

Automated voice saying they regret to inform me my MasterCard had been lost and requested to enter card number to re-activate.  Of course I didn't and just stayed on the line to see if a live voice would pick up, they didn't.  It just kept up with the same reel to enter the 16 digits card number.  Complete scam, don't give your information!

Got the call at 7:30 am! Didn't pay much attention seeing how I just woke up. I hung up called the bank then googled it and this came up. Hopefully those low lives don't get any info, stay vigilant people!

Same scam here, except they called at 3:40 am and woke up my family.  Can I report these a-holes to the FCC or something?

NEVER GIVE YOUR CREDIT / DEBIT CARD NUMBERS OUT OVER THE PHONE!!  NEVER GIVE YOUR CC / DC PIN OR VERIFICATION NUMBER OVER THE PHONE!!
ASSURE THAT ANY ONLINE SITE USES A SECURE SERVER WHILE TRANSFERRING INFORMATION!!

Debit card advice:  Check your debit card account daily.  NEVER let a debit card leave your person.  Typically avoid use of a debit card to make online purchases.  Why?  Funds are debited from your account immediately and are almost impossible to restore.

Credit card advice:  Check your credit card account daily.  Any noticed improper charges can be addressed days before your lending institution releases funds to the vendor.

How do we report this & get the calls stopped? I am receiving several calls a day & night from this #. One msg about ATM card being cancelled, several about debt collections. If you talk to them & ask who they are trying to contact they just give your phone #. I told them if they didn't have a contact name, not to call me again. Wish I knew how to get their phone # cancelled.

I just received a call from this number, but did not answer.  No message was left, but since this happens often, I'm sure it is a scam.  Thanks to all who report these calls.

888-997-1234  a computerized voice left a voice mail on my cell phone this am asking me to "press 1" to verify information on my "card" in order to reactivate.

This is a total scam. But they also called my kids cellphones too. Not a nice company at all.

I got this same call.... and it was autimated and it says press 2 to hang up and i pressed 2 and it just kept saying the same thing!!  so its deff. a scam bc I DONT HAVE A DEBT CARD!!! and probably NEVER will bc im bad with card!!!!
