Get a call from this number daily.  no messages

I received a call from this number with a recording stating that to end these calls I should press 1; I pressed 2 and a woman came on the line asking for a name I did not understand and when asked where she was calling from, she just hung up...

I have gotten several calls over the last couple of days from this number. It was a recording saying they had important information for me, and I needed to press 1 to hear it. I hung up, googled the number, and found all of these other comments.

I keep getting calls from this number. It tells me to call a 1-877 number I refuse to dial it. I hope this person (sick-o) stops this....

I have received my phone bill with charges from this number stating that I had called it. I looked up the number, and there was no information provided. So I called the number from my cell phone and it was a company called global. They were looking for my sister who doesn't live with us. I had asked him if he had received any incoming calls from my house phone, and he had told me no. I told AT&T what he had said, and they were still going to charge us for the call. Watch your phone bills for this number!!!!!!!!

My advice is not to call this number back. The call is coming from Ontario, considered by most telephone companies as an international call charge. So unless you have this feature or your family lives there, ignore it; is going to cost you big money. Some scam artists will use your phone number to charge your already scanned personal info. So be careful.

I received several calls for somebody else from this number.  
When I called back, I found out that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection.  
I found there website ( http://www.globalcollection.net/Consumers.aspx ) and contacted their main number.
They told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

left a message stating i should press 1.  i hung up and called the number back and nothing happened.

Some Guy Called Me Back And He Got The Calls To Stop.

Write a letter, call or fax them to remove your phone # from their list or call your state's attorney general office to end these calls!  Ask for Daniele De Paolis, Manager, Compliance Division.

This number calls multiple times a day.  An automated message about a 'compliance issue'.  they leave 866-277-1877 as a call back number.  that number is apparently associated with "Global Credit" and has a long trail of complaints from people.  It's a royal pain and are calls i will never answer.

Call your state office of attorney general to file consumer complaint.

Do you know that if you respond to these people or ANY bill collectors by JUST answering your phone and talking to them you then open the "window" of collection time again.....they can have a few YEARS to continue to contact you trying to collect the debt where as if you DO NOT talk to them they only have a 60 or 90 day window to try to contact you to collect the bill.
if you can't or don't want to pay then don't talk to them at all.

its not a scam, its a collection agency, they are contacting people who have bad debts to get em resolved, maybe if people would pay something the economy would be alot better...

I got the same exact message the first 5 times. Now they have switched to "tax non-compliance issue" just in time for tax season.  I guess they don't pay attention to the DNC laws.

I get calls every day from different numbers.  I understand that bill collectors can make the caller ID read anything they want these days.  I answer the phone, say Hello sometimes up to three times, but nobody responds.  If they in fact are calling me or someone in my home about a past due bill, how the heck do they expect to get a payment if  the don't say anything.  This is harassment plain and simple, it is not an attempt to collect a debt no matter what their phone records show.  Just because you can show you called the number, does not mean a conversation took place.  They are all a bunch of idiots and the calls should be stopped.

My guess is that this is one of the companies who have purchased the "rights" to attempt to collect bills that have been resolved via a bankruptcy.  I have had about 10 different companies attempt to collect from me a tiny amount of money that I owed to Beall's when I was forced into bankruptcy in the 1980s.  Seriously.  The 1980s.  I've gotten calls from all over the US and from at least 2 locations in Canada and have received snail mail from more than I can recall in an attempt to illegally collect a bill that was legally dissolved all those years ago.  Just a GUESS - no real proof because I did not answer this one.  BUT this is the only problem I ever have - with Beall's trying to collect several thousand bucks from me on about a $2-300 bill I had with them over 20 years ago.

These guys are a collection agency named "Global" out of New York.  (The Canadian phone is probably just cheap.)

And they actually seemed reasonably professional after the 10 minute wait to reach them.

I receive this call on my cell phone a couple times a week, but a message is never left.  Same thing with the number 905-413-8799 and 905-413-8660.

This number keeps calling a place of bussiness, I answerd the phone and kept getting a recording so I finally pressed on and it put me on hold forever when I finally got someone they would not take no for an answer so I hung up and than they repeatly kept calling back!

called me several times leaving a message that "we need to speak today" and to call 888 number. Didn't leave name, company name or who they are trying to reach. Got exact the same voice mail from 773-788-6508. Caller ID said Raimondi Paul
