This company asks you to do a short survey regarding your travel preferences and as a thank you they will enter your name in a draw for a family cruise in the Bahamas, and Florida.  They phone back many times after that, and hang up when you pick up... finally someone was on the other end when I picked up and I sceptically listened to her story that I had "WON" and that she needed more details, but my spouse had to be on the line at the same time.  She promised to phone again.  I did a little browsing online and found reports of scams after they obtain credit card info, and that there is actually quite a price for this "free" vacation.

Got the same call last week. they did exactly as described in the March 28th comment above. Finally when they called back to see if my spouse was there, I said yes, he's here but we do not want to continue with this - the lady said, "ok, no problem, i'll put your vacation package on stand-by". I just hung up at that point.

I just finished talking with "Sasha" Employee #664 from All Seasons Travel Radisson.  Right from the get-go two days ago when I did the survey, I was suspicious.  But, I listened to what she had to say, just in case it was legit.  I had "won" this all-inclusive package to Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and the Bahamas.  All I had to pay was the $249/person port fee.  Then I was eligible for the extra 2 travel packages for Las Vegas (3d, 2n), and Peurot Valarta (5d5n)....for only $349/person.  She then proceeded to ask me for my credit card info so I wouldn't lose out on this fantastic promotion!  Umm, I thought I'd won it.  Doesn't a promotion imply I'm buying something?  I told her I was very hesitant, and she said I could go on-line and check out their website (astarsun.com) and see it was legit.  She told me her full name (Sasha Secan) and employee # 664.  She told me that my info had been given to their company because I had either stayed at a Radisson hotel or rented a car in the States and was considered a "VIP".  I have done neither.  I told her so.  This totally caught her off-guard.  She said that they are affiliated with many other companies and that one of them must have given them my info.  I then asked her that if I had "won" the Orlando/Ft.Lauderdale/Bahamas trip, and it was supposed to be free, why couldn't they send me the package without getting my credit card info?  Again, she didn't know what to say.  I told her I'm just protecting myself.  She said, yes, she understands this. Again, she told me to go look at their website.   I said, their site might look legit, but it could totally be made up.  She talked about how the call was being recorded for my protection and that I had to give verbal confirmation that I was authorizing charges to my credit card.  Ya, so you can scam me.  She said, "In a restaurant, you give your credit card to a server, and they WALK AWAY with it!  How can you trust that?"  I was thinking that if the server used your card illegally, you have a hell of a better chance at the credit card company protecting you than if you have given voice authorization over a phone.  It's just proof for All Seasons to get you with.  I told her I thought she was scamming me.   "But I gave you my full name and employee number.  Why would I give you my name if this wasn't a legitimate promotion?"  LOL.  I told her it could be a fake name.  She was quite offended and told me to go look her up on Facebook.  So, long story short, I told her I wouldn't be giving her any information over the phone.  She asked me if she could move on to the next eligible customer on her list.  LMAO.  How many are there?  So, I said, "No."  She sat there silent, then asked me why not.  I said, "Because you are trying to scam people."  Well, that ended the conversation.  I kind of had fun playing with her.  Hehe.

Where are all of you writing from?  I'm in Saskatchewan, Canada.  The phone area code 905 is Ontario, so I assume this scam is taking place only in Canada.

Well, thanks for reading.  Have a fabulous day!  And "winner" be ware!

This is "All Seasons Travel Radisson".  They are scamming people.  You complete an over the phone travel survey and are "entered" into a draw to win a vacation package.  They give you a registration # that you will need if they phone back to tell you that you are a "winner".  They then proceed to tell you about the package, and explain that the only fee you will have to pay is the $249/person port fee to enter the Bahamas.  They then explain that you are also eligible for 2 additional vacation packages for only $349/person. However, in order to get the first "free" vacation,  you need to buy these 2 extra vacations (which they say can be given away to other people or you can sell them later).   They want your credit card information.  Don't give it to them.  I argued with the lady for over half an hour. I said that I only wanted the "free" first vacation and that she wouldn't need my credit card information and she could just send me the package.  She told me it didn't work that way, that I had to buy the other 2 vacations to qualify for the first "free" one.  She slipped up as well, telling me I was a VIP customer because I had stayed at a Radisson hotel or had rented a car in the USA.  I have done neither.  I told her this, and she didn't know what to say.

Do not give these people your credit card information!  They are scamming people.
