I live area code 909 in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. I keep getting these calls, but have blocked them since April, but continue to call.

They are definitely bogus.

Same here. Now I have been blocked.

These people are in cahoots with all the other strange numbers that show up on my caller ID. I don't know of a way to investigate it.

Call not valid..........name unavailable........put them on my call blocking list.

Called again today but I had this number blocked.............what a bunch of jerks.

Just got a call from this number. He said he just did work in the neighborhood on painting and flooring and now coming back in the neighborhood to do estimate. He told me he got from good authority that we need some work on our house. I said who is this again. He said its Eddie Murphy Construction company. I said is this a joke. He said Eddie Murphy the comedian and yes its a joke, get it and was laughing as he hung up.  WTH is wrong with this country allowing people like this to do this.

I hope they do show up in my doorstep.

Just got a call from "Carol" of Family Builders re: fixing up the house etc. Told them I was moving to senior home and house is going to daughter. She was very friendly but no deal.

So what happened?

Called my home phone again but blocked this time. 909 area code doesn't even have 184 as a valid exchange so this is definitely a spoofed number.

July 24th  Called again today at around 5:25 pm.  Name unavailable.  I will put them in my call block list.

Someone has to have knowledge on how to trace where the call is coming from, the NSA taps into every ones phone calls according to the news. I guess our own "phone" company isn't as smart as the NSA,, haha

Called Sunday........agree that the 184 isn't a valid number............how do we get rid of these calls?  Anyone have an idea?

think about this,,, if we all get same phone call and phone comp. can't tell us who it is or stop it without $$$ a charge yet obama wants to hack "all" our phones and listen in,, something wrong here ?

I keep getting a call from this number. I spoke to someone one time and she was asian and said her Uncle had a repair business and wanted to know if I needed things fixed. She knew my first and last name and I asked her how she got that info and she hung up. I have gotten at least 4 -5 calls from it.

They call and never leave message if you call the number back it no such number. No phone number ever start with one. This should be illegal they try to trick you caller id says california its probally a bill collector someone trying to verify your number dont answer.

My mom teceived a call from this number today stating they were a home renovating company coming around to give an estimates in the La Verne area tomorrow. She made an appointment for them to come by tomorrow at 3pm. She then called to cancel and the number didn't work so we called the police dispatch and we'll see how this pans out....

Exactly the same happened to me,hope someone gets to the bottom of this and find out where these calls come from.

just got this call on home phone. I live in 909 area code, but didn't answer. Caller ID showed exchange of 184...really? Legitimate exchanges don't begin until 200.
