This guy is a piece of work.  I thought he was a scammer and questioned his ad under the name of Mike Thompson. Same exact emails as above trying to rent a place in Concord, CA using phone numbers 440-941-2720 and 216-640-9451.  here is his response!

What a piece of $#^@. This has happened to so many people that it needs to stop. Something has to be done.

Man, this guy is using all kinds of alias and addresses.  He supposedly has a studio in Walnut Creek, CA as well.  Same phone (909) 746-8460, going by the name Harry S. (email - sharry934@yahoo.com).  Same email format, but he said he relocated to Alabama.

Why hasn't this guy, or these people, been caught yet?

Now he's "renting" apartments in Brookline, MA.  Still using the phone number of 909-746-8460, but going by Harry Scheff.  Glad I did my research, I almost feel for it!!

Ya, we just had a run in with him this morning. Sounded way to good to be true, and I told him I was concerned with how we would get the keys while keeping things legit and he called my phone, saying "no no no, i'm not a scam, just send the money immediately otherwise the place will be gone." Found this page immediately after, the application was just too simple and he asked for weird things (send pictures?)

With us he still went with Fred Sparks. Email address fredstarks21@yahoo.com. I still just can't believe he had the nerve to call us. It all just happened really really fast, his responses, and 2 minutes after I sent the "application" back (minus any secure details) he called us to say we were "approved" and to assume me this wasn't a scam...

Don't deal with this guy. I made him back off real quick by telling him I would give his number to the police if he ever contacted me again or anyone who I mentioned in the emails for the rental. Same exact emails as the ones above.

It's a SCAM. I received the same exact email in regards to a house in San Jose.
