Stated that I won a $1000 online shopping spree, then asked about my bank card or any credit card that I had. Then told me that I owed them for $24.95 for a magazine subsscription

I received a message (on the second call of the day from this #) noting they will with some sort of publisher's clearing house with "good news" as well. Perhaps I'll answer next time to see what all the hullabaloo is about.

I recieved a call from the same number, except that they claimed I had won a $250 gas card. Before I called the number back I researched it here and anticipated something of this sort. I immediately asked if I owed them 24.95 for magazines and he stalled, saying "something like that", then added "well actually it is only 18.00 a month". What I don't understand is that he (Craig) kept talking to me as if I would actually be interested to hear his worthless offers.
