I worked for this company for about 2 years. I was suspended for voicing my opinions & frustrations, then a week later, voluntarily quit! After doing some indepth research, I have to say that although I'm appreciative of the knowledge I gained about the industry during my employment, its not the company you should dislike, but more some of the people who run it & how they choose to treat others. My personality does NOT align with deceiving people, & coming from a family of business owners- as well as a entrepreneur myself- building quality relationships is important to me. I do believe that if they hired more quality people & pressed the importance of honesty, they'd be alot more successful.

I have to agree here, as I used to work for a cc processing company so I can verify this. Not even a merchant ID can be misused because it doesn't function the same as a social security number. The only information on a statement is batch numbers, transaction totals & line item fees for different card types (i.e Visa, MC, Amex, Discover) during that billing period/month. Another thing to note is that the rate you sign up w/for a merch account is the ADVERTISED rate. Depending on how you accept cards (online, mail, phone, in person) your RATES for those transactions WILL be different. In person is the most secure transaction type & will give you the lowest rate.
Also; Banks DO NOT process- just like they dont go in the back to print checks- its all outsourced to a third party billing company, they make their money on the markup fees involved. Depending on your business type/volume of course, you might/might not be getting the best rates, so its always good to have regular reviews done EVERY YEAR.
Last thing to note; The DNC list is for home/mobile numbers ONLY. Businesses are public entities, therefore by having a business number advertised, you're opening up your business to more than just calls from consumers. The only way your number can be added to that list is if it functions as a home/mobile number.

Just thought I'd help since I have the industry knowledge :)

The same happened to me this morning.  Tina Raulston called and pretended to be from our merchant company.  She requested that we fax her our statements and she set up an appointment for us with Lisa Gonzales in order to reduce our credit card fees.  .  After I read all the above posts I called Lisa at (949) 861-4000 exrt 7912 and cancelled the appointment on her voicemail.

This "Government do not call list" does not exist. If you paid for it or even wasted your time trying to be apart of it, you messed up. That's the most rudimentary scam, you're better off sending out a merchant statement...

Your wrong..Hear them out and see how they do it. Unfortunately there are bad companies but don't let the bad apples decide the services aren't for you. There are some VERY good companies out there. I'm Dylan. Call me at 1-800-915-0927 at Sekure Cost Review.. 9-5 eastern time during the week. We are the BEST.

I report each and every call to the no call list and I'm going to start calling my elected officials since the no call list DOESN'T WORK. Perhaps if they get a call every time I do they'll put some teeth into the no call list. It's not like they're doing their jobs in any other area.

What makes them think that by annoying me they are going to get my business? I like my merchant account and do not CARE to change. I'm sick of RUDE people believing somehow THEY have a right to call me. Until THEY pay my phone bill it's MY PHONE.  If they said they were from PayPal then call PayPal and let them know someone is CRIMINALLY IMPERSONATING THEM! The plain fact is they don't care that they are breaking the law.

I'm on the no call list so they violated the law and I will report them. I report every call. I also write/call my elected reps and ask why we don't have better laws and prison terms for these criminals. I wonder how much they cost us wasting our time with SPAM CALLS? Get on the no call list and report every call.

A Jennie Watson at x7026 called us to ask if we had seen the notice that the rates for merchant services had been increased. We don't even use merchant services, or credit card processing of any kind. Obviously a scam.

I have 14 years of experience in the merchant services industry and have literately seen hundreds of statements from First Data, affiliate ISO organizations and retail banks that processing with First Data. I have seen some of the most corrupt, unethical practices by these organizations and retail banks and here are a few reasons why. 1.They setup merchants with proprietary First Data terminals that can only be used for First Data processing are typically leased to merchants that will end up paying thousands more that the value of the terminals. 2. The rates are typically provided bundled with a fixed rate for credit and debit and the cards are then downgraded but the amount of the downgrades can not be deciphered because the information of the sale amount and fee downgrade are both not provided. 3. The amount of the fees charged cannot be divided into the sale amount to determine an effective rate because the interchange fees are charged for the prior month. 3. When a merchant receiving this type of rate structure rather than a true interchange pass-through rate the merchant is not benefiting from the capped debit rates that when into effect in October 2011 under the Dodd/Frank financial reform bill -Durbin Amendment thus paying significantly more for debit card transaction. There are other reasons but this is the bases for not doing business with them. I hope this help...feel free to contact me for advice

This is a slimy merchant service organization. They start off calling from their boiler room contacting merchants as if they were there existing merchant service organization. When asked if they were with the company I process with they blatantly lie to get themselves appointments. A lisa Gonzalez was the representative that showed up after this appointment was made and when I asked her if she was in fact with our company and she told me she wasn't. I knew this already because we have an excellent relationship and are getting a great interchange pass-through rate from our current merchant service provider Andy Friel of Desert Merchant Services. Buyer beware!

They keep calling relentlessly.  Finally I asked them to take me off their list.  They gave me a phone number of 949-861-4000 ext 7304 and to ask for Kerry to get us off the data base.  So bombard them with phone calls like they do us.

The company never states their name and uses First Data's name to get you to listen to their crap.  The sales person's name I spoke with was Sandra.  She kept talking over me.  When I stated that she was not listening to me or my company needs she just rolled right over me.   I am sorry - but even if you HAPPEN to be somewhat legitimate company - is this really the way to do business?  Is this really good customer service?  If it is then I DEFINITELY don't wanna do business with you!  And I hope no one else does either.

This company is claming to be Merchant Services and they are phishing for information. Called  the real merchant services from my real statement and they knew nothing about this call or why they would be phishing for information.

FYI They also use the phone # 949 861 4050 and send out automated phone calls.

We had been getting calls for a "Vickie" that wanted us to meet with "Rickie Galliani" from merchant services.  They claimed that they could save us a lot of money if our patients could use atm in our office.  I was tipped off when she wanted us to fax them a detailed report of our statements and would not give any proof that they were connected to our credit card company.

This number just called me! The guy that spoke with asked if I was still in the job market?! WTH? They also called a minute before and didn't say anything, so I said that I was going to report theirs, because I am on the Do Not Call List. So, from what I see here, they pose as everything from a recruiter to a credit card company.

I used to work for this company before I took back my old job.
The calls are regarding credit card processing programs.
They are a wholesale provider for processing rates.
The are not your current processor, but set appointments to have analysts meet with you to discuss your program.

The requests for statements are only to look at the fees, rates, and volume you are processing to see if they can compete with your current processor.

They really can't do anything with your statement unless you provide your tax ID#
Besides, would your current processor call to tell you that you are being overcharged?

Got called today.  Employee got the FIRST call.  Asked if "manager or decision maker" was available, she said, "No," and hung up, as directed by boss.

SECOND call, Boss answered, "hello."  Voice - "I don't think you understand the nature of my call.  I am with 'merchant services,' and I handle your account"  Boss - "What account?" Voice - "your processing account."  Boss - "what processing?"  Voice - "your credit cards!"  Boss - "no you don't," and hung up.  (Because, if he did, he'd know who to ask for, or at least know the name of the company that we do use!)

THIRD call.  Boss - "hello."  Voice - "are you the one there who knows what they're talking about?"  Boss - "some of us know what we're talking about." Voice - "that's good.  Is there a fax number I can send this information to, because if you don't look at it, you will be 'sadly declining' this offer."  Boss - "I sadly decline this offer," and hung up.

No fourth call!
