I called the number to the clearview website you provided and they told me they would put me on the do not call list. Thanks for the tip and I hope it works.

As far as filing a complaint I agree with the sentiment but the law is toothless and enforcement is lax or non-existent.

Call comes in and when you pick up you hear background noise.  They don';t speak and hang up.   Annoying!!!

I, too, have gotten countless calls from these folks.  Makes me want to put a few ads in Craigslist offering something very valuable for free or for a low, low price ("1967 Mustang with low miles" or "Get $100 government grant for any medical care" ) and say "Line is often busy, so keeping trying."  I'd love to then supply this number, but that would be wrong so, please, nobody do it.

THIS NUMBER CALLS MY PHONE ON A WEEKLY BASIS.ONE TIME I ANSWERED ....N SOMEBODY RESPONDED THRU A HIGH PITCH VOICE CHANGER. ...THEY CLAIMED TO BE FROM A  NATIONAL GANG N SAID THEY WERE GONNA SHOOT ME....NO JOKE... S*** WAS FUNNY N DISTURBING AT THE SAME TIME. ......I CALLED BACK TODAY N IT WAS A DISCONNECTED NUMBER THRU VERIZON..

I got a call today from this number after two other times of telling them I'm not interested and to remove me from their list, obviously they did not remove me! So looking through this thread I've noticed others have done a little research and found out who these clowns are. I called their number(800-270-0802) and told them I was tired of receiving phone calls from them and wanted to be removed from their call list. The lady that I spoke to said you're____ and quoted my last name. I said yes and then she asked for my number! If she knew who I was when I called then she obviously didn't need my number told to her. I played her little game and rambled my number off very quickly and then told her how annoyed I am and want this crap to stop and she said very sacrcastically "That's what I'm trying to do, remove your number."And then apologized for the inconvenience.

For anyone else who reads this thread this is what you must do call the 800# I have posted above and press 0 to get the operator, tell them you want them to stop calling you. They'll already know who you are when you call.

This number calls me all the time and hangs up and does not leave message.  I wonder if this has anything to do with 951-223-8839 because I am getting the same with that number.

Same for me... Call rings, I answer and it disconnects. I'm also on the Do Not Call Registry. This is very annoying!

I have recieved numerus calls from this number...... I got 4 calls in 1 day 5 min apart from one another  ; (

I too have received numerous calls from this number on my cell phone (which I reserve for emergencies only.) Today, I answered quickly and trapped the caller into  responding. He said he was calling from Clearview, a green contractor working with the Gas Company to provide residential upgrades that qualify for rebates.
I told him I had no need for his services and to kindly remove my name from his call database. He was pleasant and agreed to do so. We'll see!

Unfortunately, I did not think to ask why the line has gone dead when I answered on previous occasions. Seems like a helluva a way to run a business. (As many others of you have noted.)

I got a call from this person today & answered.  The guy was from Clear view and he said he is calling about a Southern California Edison Company program.  These people are telemarketers trying to sell Solar Systems.  It sounds like they are not very good at their jobs.  They are from Clearview a contractor who does Solar Systems.. http://www.cvgreenhome.com/

This number called me 3 times today. On all occasions I picked up and there was no answer.

They just called again. I think they are phishing, checking to see if your number is good and if someone will answer. Next they can sell your number on a list of confirmed numbers. I took their number and named it, DO NOT ANSWER< IDIOT CALLING. That way I know to ignore it. .  

I have been receiving calls from this number 3 to 4 times a day for months. I would answer and the caller would hang up. I called back and it is always busy. Today I answered and just said, ?Speak this time.? surprise surprise someone did and asked for me. I told them to stop calling this number and the man on the line said, ?This is the first time I have called you.? I told him I receive several calls a day from this number and to stop calling my phone. The man asked if I was on the national do not call list and I told him I was and that he was violating California Penal Code 653m.

 653m.  (a) Every person who, with intent to annoy, telephones or
makes contact by means of an electronic communication device with
another and addresses to or about the other person any obscene
language or addresses to the other person any threat to inflict
injury to the person or property of the person addressed or any
member of his or her family, is guilty of a misdemeanor.


These calls are a constant annoyance so the elements of the crime have been met. The caller is in California and I am in California so 653m applies.

I have got a phone call from this number about every other day for one month now. I have only answers once, the irate time they called and someone say "is this Jay" and hung up. I wish they would stop calling me. I wish I new where they were fr so I could go over there and raise hell!

I  keep getting calls on my cell and home from this number.  Usually knowone says anything but sometimes they say they are from "Clear" something but I just hang up.  Don't like sales calls.  Said I was going to report if they don't stop calling.

Yes, its annoying to receive so many calls from this number. Just don't answer when they call. Then delete from your phone. No big deal...there are bigger problems in life.

Someone calls from this number every day.  I do not pick it up because I don't recognize the number.  I called this number back one day from another phone and the male was very rude and hung up.

Found out that 951-285-4686 is orginating from the employee parking lot of the Riverside County, CA, Sheriff's Office, Lake Elsinor Sub-station.  Called them and they refuse to take a report.

asked me to watch porn on my computer and then hung up, called back line was busy.  time 10:45 am

i get calls from this number almost daily.  A message is never left.

These jack***es call me a couple of times a day.  I don't answer unknown calls and they never leave a vm.  Just blocked them on my phone and will file a complaint
