They called the company I work for, asked for the owner (which does not take calls) and then the caller told me he was just talking with him and got disconected.  LIAR!

Some fast talking lady left a message telling me Brandon, which I have no idea who it is, is being served papers for writing a bad check. I had to listen to the message about 10 times before I could get an idea of what she was talking about. I never did call them back at the number 877-749-4770 that she said to call. The number that came up on caller id was 971-373-2989.
She said something about Grayson (Graceland? Grason?) County district court, breach of contract, attempt to defraud, writing worthless checks.

Someone from this number called my grandmother and tried to get her to believe it was her grandson calling and that he had gotten in a car crash while on vacation in Italy and was in big trouble because he was stuck in another country with no car and no money. When Grandma said, "I'm going to call your mother right away" the person said "Hey, can't we keep this between you and me?" Whoever is using this number is going to have some 'splaining to do once the FBI gets ahold of them.

The problem with not answering the phone is the fact that people have answering machines & voicemail and this will confirm the number in the end.

One more of many fake numbers for the infamous 'Card Services' originating in Orlando, FL.  For this one, all the Caller ID displayed was 'PORTLAND OR' plus the number.  It is all a scam to bilk anyone foolish enough to give them any personal info.

Blow a whistle or keep them on as long as possible to waste their "valuable" time.

Telemarketer is not the appropriate choice to identify this firm, they are true scammers.

They do see my answer above, that number has been in use for a few months and now it has a V numberattached I am assuming from Verizon.

They have been around for a long time, they also use the number  407-429-9999, this number has been active for a while, I see complaints going back several months it comes with this number where name would normally appear: V05151033170144 - I am going to call verizon and give these numbers, maybe they can track them down.
When they call and I am home, I hit the answer button on my phone and 2 seconds later I hit end call, they call right back and I repeat this process, I usually get a two-three week break from the calls when I do this, if they do not get a person nor  an answering machine it makes my number appear as not working if you answer and hang up fast enough, then they call when I am not home get the machine and the games begin again.I do block but they have so many numbers and we are restricted as to how many blocked numbers we can have.

This company is a real pain, I mean I am disabled and it is sometime hard for me to get to the phone. Then its some quack company telling me about credit card consolidation - I dont have any credit cards - got rid of them when I became unable to work...PLEASE do something about this company - there are a lot of complaints on these people when you do a web search by the phone number - We ar on the Do Not Call List as are several others who get NO relief from these calls. They seam to think they are above the law. If DNC doesnt pursue these complaints, why do we sign up for the donot call list in the first place?  
I will rely more on my caller ID and make necessary return callsto legitimate people who I want to talk to.

Same thing, repeated calls, I do not answer. I have a message on my phone (if they even listen to it) I do not answer these 800 calls, "hang up and don't call back".  Thinking seriously about getting a whistle and blowing it into their ears IF I answer the phone, that might ring in loud and clear.
Then the *** ***** would probably sue me...

Got the call from "Card Services" to lower cc rate, bored so I pressed 1 to be connected.  Got a guy on the line for a long time, giving him fake numbers. Finally asked him where the company was from, he said "Alaska".  "What city" I asked.  He didn't know.  I then suggested he get a real job and turn his life around, which set him off.  He said "What I really like about this job is f**king with a**holes like you," then launched into a diatribe of f-bombs and hung up.  Loved it!

A little research indicates that this may stem from a company in Orlando, called "Universal Payment Services Now" website:  www.upsni.com.  The 877 number below, by the way, generates a disconnected intercept recording, but the other number appears to be operational with a busy signal.  Maybe someone in Florida can check them out.....or send Guido over with a club.

I just SCAM THE SCAMMER... After approximately 45 minutes of listening all kind of BS, using a random credit Card number, a fake name, fake debt, etc. they presented me with the options to solve my problems. They stated to be able to see my debt (???) and wanted to get my routing and bank account information. They provided me with the information to contact them (they only will give you this info if you get to talk to an advisor). IT IS TIME FOR US TO GET TOGETHER AND SCREW THEM:

What is a whistle going to do??? I thought you would carry a whistle for using it to get attention...they may just like it and call back....

971-373-2989 It's nice to see others here are responding to this harrassing kind of call and that I am not alone...but on the otherhand, sorry you all are getting harrassed as well. I pick up the phone and I get no response. I am tired of it!!! I also called the phone number back and selected one to be taken off their call list...it claims to take 24 hours. Ok, cool...let's move on. Just recently, I have received other calls similiar to this though. It's pretty sad that we live in this kind of world...harrassment in our own homes! I am now going back to trying to enjoy my weekend...I hope. Have a nice day everyone!

Talked to a live person, telling them no one here has ever had a credit card.  They suggested it was the person who lived here before.  House just complted a month ago, built on a very vacant lot.  They still insisted that it was possible the person who lived here before.  Go figure.

My Husband bought one of these a few years ago and it works wonders. We gave them to the rest of the family as Christmas gifts. lol

I would classify this as telephone harassment.They call several times a week. When you opt to speak to a customer representative, the rep answering hangs up as soon as you ask them not to call again. This doesn't stop them!

I bought a Digitone call blocker that allows you to block entire area codes if you want, I currently have 60 plus numbers blocked. It's the best 100 bucks I've spent in a long time.

Just got a call from this number. I've gotten them before, never answer unless I recognize the number. Caller ID rocks my phone! Call back option, and was told that if I wanted to be "taken off the call list, press one at any time". Pressed one... we'll see if I get a call back in the next few days/weeks.

Suspect this is the same SCAMMER using different numbers so you are unable to block the calls.

Hung up on me when I asked to be removed from their number list.  Thir automated message implied that I owed them money and that that this was my last opportuntiy to negotiate before legal action commences before becoming a debt reduction education (unnamed) group.  I suspect they are phishing for credit card numbers.

These are those high end jobs BAMA ia creating each month that will get the unemployment down to 20& by Nov.  What do you expect our corrupt gov. to do about any potential taxes and possibly getting some off entitlements.  Just let your caller ID do what it's intended to do and if it's not a number you recognize let it ring and if no message is left or one is that's obviously a scam just smile and know that it's helping the economy STUPID!

I have had repeated calls from 971-373-2989 with an automatic message. It is "Card Services" trying to get you to sign up for a low interest rate on credit card balances of over $3000. I called back and someone a man answered and I asked what it was about. He identified me from his caller ID and then he knew I wasn't interested so he hung up.  I called the FBI, and a very nice man mentioned that it was not a crime. They were calling from Portland. Does one have to blow something up like their calling machine and make it a crime before anyone will stop this.
